Q:

Joe’s .257

Here is the start or Joe’s .257. I had to sand blast off what ever the coating was on the frame because it was thick and I was worried about putting it in the mill and not being square.

Made the barrel bushings today. Because the frame is so short I made the front bushing part of the frame extension. This will extend out 4.75″ and will get a end cap that guides the barrel also.

I had to put it in the mill because the front of the frame wasn’t even close the square.

Trying to make everything that I need to in the 3 jaw before I switch to collet chuck. I need to finish the 2 valves I have and then I can start cutting barrels.

NAH, that’s to odl fashioned 😕

How about a picture of papa holding baby on the first day home while preparing to go out and kick some ass for the first time 😉 :11:

That’s more like it! But the first pics will most likely be the surrogate parents Cedric and Doug 😀

Put the screws in it today. Tomorrow I hope to machine the barrel and fit the hammer to it. Then a breech so I can cut the slot in the new cover.

Also have to relieve the maddog stock to clear the cover on the frame. Getting closer.

Hoping the valves are done so I can use the pieces instead of having to make them. Already have the valve body done.

Finally. A AF Frame that doesn’t think it’s a fuck’n slinky! 😉

looking good Doug. This is going to be one “anti-flex” gun for sure. Can’t wait 😎

Made a piece to cover the big slot that is already in the frame today. Made the tube about 6 months ago for my .308. Managed to make it work for both guns. Just have to drill it know.

Oh damn!

Humm— 😈

Coming along quite nicely! Like Joe, i can’t wait to see the final outcome! 😆 😆 😎

What do you mean see? You mean to tell me you aren’t going to drive over to Doug’s to feel it’s legs for awhile? Go ahead, I give you permission to fondle her 😎

But in the event she out shoots yours…make sure you guys send me mine and not yours by accident 😛

At least let him bend it upwards, Dad!

Son,

It depends how far he can bend that barrel without you noticing it. 😛
