Just in: my new R5 long
It’s a 25 cal. I’ll bet that you didn’t see that coming!

Brian tried to get Ed to send him some single shot 25 cal. R5’s but, Ed wanted to send all of them to Russia.
Then Kdog started his email and PM campaign to Ed and Brian to have Ed send some 25 cal single shots to the US.
Ed relented [maybe to shut Kdog up] and sent Brian 5 of them. Thanks Kdog!
Wingman gets one, Brian is keeping two and Kdog and I get one each.
I plan to retire in a year or two and I thought that my 25 and 30 cal R3 longs would suit me well in my retirement. I really thought that I was good to go! Then that sneaky Russian comes out with the R5! I watched all of the videos and I was really impressed with the way it was built! But I didn’t want, or need, another 30 cal.
Then Kdog posted that a few 25 cals were coming to the states, I called Brian and ordered his last one! Thanks, Kdog, for making me spend another $1930 on another “BB Gun”! :rofl:
After buying 7 new Edguns, this will be my last one! Maybe!
Brian did a super job of boxing and sending it!
I really happy with the well built, fit and finish of the gun but; I’m a little butt hurt that that cheap assed Ed didn’t include a soft case with a $1930 gun!

how would you rate the trigger of your new R5?
Is it phenomenal like the price tag?
The .25’s were suppose to only be for the European market is what i understood and the .30’s for US market.I pushed Ed and Brian to send some 25’s over and they complied,,,,squeaky wheel gets the grease i suppose.This R5 single shot is only made in .25 and .30…..the R5m multi shot which will be on the market soon is suppose to be made in .177 .22 and .25. This is what i understand anyway.

Does the fact that you guys pushed for a few single shot .25 to be imported means that the rest of the .25s are gonna be Multishots ?

What to say more about OldGoat’s R5 other than it is outrageously overpriced and has a stock like coming from IKEA?

Concerning pcps and silencers, actually you could contribute to the discussion being silencers already illegal in your state/region.

Hey Ed. My R3s have been performing flawlessly for years. I was expecting that they would start giving me problems by now but no such luck. I just can’t justify buying a R5 until my R3 start acting up. How long do I need to wait?

I still believe in capitalism. Ed’s a capitalist and a fine one at that. He offers a product that nobody is forced to purchase. Don’t like it, don’t buy it.
Nothing he’s done makes him a bad guy. The more money he makes…more kudos to him. :8:
As far as accuracy, I don’t own Edgun so I cannot comment on that aspect.
