Just sent my RWS 48 out for a tune
Just sent my 48 out to John in PA for a tune. after 20 years of reliable service its time to freshen her up. I just had the stock refinished by a buddy of mine who is a furniture finisher, It Looks to good to touch, I will post pics when I get everything back.

Did he trim that stock down for you? Mine was bulky and I thought about trimming it down. I am sure you will be thrilled when you get it back. Looking forward to pictures and some groups.

i wouldn’t take any weight off that beast, that is helping to tame the recoil down a bit and make it a better handling shooter, i have a 48 and a 34 that i just recently got out to shoot some after only shooting the Condor for the last year, and DANG!, they sure boss you around for a air rifle, never noticed it that much until having the Pcp .
The 48 seems to be more docile than the 34 shooting on the bags with the added weight. I had a friends M 34 over to trace down consistency problems and shot it quit a bit, as a matter of fact i believe i shot it more than it had been shot by him, i put close to 500 rounds thru it and the scope had been moving, and the screws on the gun need loctite, with a good oiling with the barrel break in, a new scope mount form pyramid

the gun was shooting 1/4″ to 3/8″ at 35 yards with sorted crosman HP and RWS super domes .
I have found new interest in my springers, you know i would really like to have one of those Model 54 rws ,
