Kalibrgun contact on Hummingbird indexing issue!!!

The magnetic magazine advance is unreliable, with an easy fix by installing an EXTENSION SPRING. By doing so the parts on the photo are no longer needed. With this spring mod, it will rotate the mag and advance a pellet every time its cocked, fired or not. It will double load when you improperly de-cock it. lets wait and see what they think and maybe help them with a better FIX.

Back to the hurried hummingbird design. We saw a working semi automatic model long time before shot show 2014.. Remember the guy on you tube he even had zeise scope on it if I remember correctly. So I’m not sure if it’s hurried. Maybe the conversion back to non semi gave the engineers a run for their money. Can’t figure out why there is still no auto loading

I´ll get mine in the end of January although in .22 cal. It´s Walnut stocked – or that´s what i bought anyway. They have a .25 cal as well but i opted for a .22.
I know that those guys have been hard pressed to get the Volcano out on the market but they never rushed things along the way . That´s admirable .

If the Vulcan functions as well as it looks, and it is a nice looking piece of craftsmanship, it could be a real winner. It’s got every feature I want in a bullpup. However, I believe that walnut stock is a wet dream for a stock factory Vulcan. That would jump the price by a lot of Kroner…most likely. I still am a fan of the “Black Gun” with the bedliner type finish that can take a beating and still look good.
I would love to see it in a .25 caliber, or even a .29 caliber….with poly-tipped, Sierra boat-tailed slugs!

Haste is an enemy of effective design. We don’t know how the semi was originally setup for auto indexing. This appeared to be a hasty attempt to convert the gun to multi-shot bolt action. They came close to getting it to work.

I agree! Haste is definitely an enemy of any effective design. The Hummie is a good example, as is Ed´s first attempts to the MS breech. That´s why i actually have quite high hopes regarding the new Vulcan. They´ve taken the time needed to get a properly working production version without rushing it out. It takes balls to do a lengthy R&D while the investors are breathing on ones neck but i´m pretty sure it´ll pay in the long run.

I also want to add that I hope Vulcan brings something new to the table other than just another one to choose from. I’d like to see them with special barrels that can shoot pellets at 950 fps minimum. Be nice to get some more advantages in windy conditions. Who shoots in dead calm anyways? I had a rare dead calm the other day and took 3 pigeons at 60 yards and they dropped like a sack of potatoes. It was great not to worry about how much wind was on top of silo
