Q:

Kalibrgun Cricket Standard WB 4,5mm

Hey guys, I wanted to make a thread about my Cricket, so here goes. I just recently enlarged the transfer port in my barrel so as to reach 285 m/s with 10,34gr / 0,67g pellets, and today I reached my goal! πŸ˜€ However the shot string is a Β΄Little slanted and I was wondering if you guys had any tips of what I can do to get a flatter string?

Ok, so I shot 70 shots or 5 Magazines through my Air Chrony with a 284,7 m/s avg speed. Here are the first 55 shots

High: 287,0 m/s
Low: 283,7 m/s
ES: 3,3 m/s

And here is all 70 shots:

High: 287,0 m/s
Low: 282,1 m/s
ES: 4,9 m/s

Here is how the string looks like:

Any tips?

That could very well be it, it was already a bit scratched up on the inside. But I am happy with the new reg that came today, pics will come.

After some HST adjusting I shot 10 shots with 1mps ES so a whole shot string will be interesting.

Tomorrow I will try to optically zero my scope so that will come as well.

The Lancet reg is a very good one, as is a properly working OEM Cricket reg. I think all the messing around your reg (the previous owner with his 10 J hiatus) has damaged something. πŸ™

Something like that iride, here is my new regulator being made in the UK

I guess this is like blue printing a air gun, Making every think perfect, correcting any thing mass production makes imperfect ,,,,
Its like engine builders blue printing a motor, making each piston weight the same , balance the crank , Lap the valves,
Cricket
Is that what you guys are doing just working on a perfect gun?
Maybe the next step in Cricket tuning, Making it all perfect, Just taking all the imperfections out,,,,

My regulator is now for sale, if you think you can get the brass retainer out then you have a spare regulator. For some reason it is not leaking anymore, not sure how that works, maybe it was just some sort of debris that made it leak I really don’t know.

Question is if IΒ΄m able to do it same good as in the factory ? 😳 πŸ™„

 yes, on mine it was also “just a hole” but it did look a little oval. But the hole on that barrel is a little angled as well.

Something has to be planned :biggrinn:

See this picture I took it from the video what I posted…

and my barrel TP hole

There is clearly see what different TP hole on barrel it is. On my is just hole. 😑

Edit: added my barrel TP hole

I think it sounds like a plan! When you get around to it don’t forget to post your progress, I did not take any pics but all I did was drill a bigger hole, your plan seems a lot more complicated so it would be an interesting read!

I was out during 3 days now… πŸ˜†
So first I have to buy dremel or similar tool πŸ™‚ Then I plan to grind the firing valve hole and barrel hole and make it little bit in oval. I think 4,1mm TP for barrel is ok and probably will be standard TP hole for all crickets cal.22 IMO

I think grinding sharp edges on firing valve and barrel will bring another FPS/MPS and then I will decrease my regulator pressure.
What do you think?

I’m glad you like the Carbon fiber look Octavius! And thanks for the vid, very informative. How are you doing on the tp? Are you planning on enlarging it or are you gonna wait it out a bit?

Very nice work Cricket!!! If you see this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvMSOcAL3TU you will find the Kalibrgun made already different transfer ports on the barrel and firing valve. Those are with better finish no sharp edges as on my and yours…

Thanks Greg, but I am done with that reg. I bought my Cricket used and the inside threads and brass retainer was already pretty scratched up from the previous owner trying to get it out. I placed my order and Robert is off to make my reg. I Heard good stuff about them and I am looking forward to see what it can accomplish.

He will set it at the right pressure for me and I also ordered 2 new Magazines so I will have 4 in total. In the meantime here are my favourite pics of the gun :biggrinn:

In the mean time try and remove it with an extractor.

Bob sells the brass retainer also, scroll to select (D seal retainer).

Also the leak indicator hole for the reg on the AT is the hardest to figure out.
Because It could be any of the 4 O-rings on the reg that is leaking, and not necessarily the 2 small one(s) on the inside ……… ?
On the 2 large ones on the outside it’s usually the high pressure one that is leaking, in which case I’d switchover and use A75 with Molykote 55.

Also, also there is talk that it is possible (with some care not to scratch the piston housing) to change the small internal piston O-ring from the inside.
I never try it but it’s would be another option if the above doesn’t work ……….

Ok, so I email Lane regs and he makes the regs as you buy them. This is what he said:

quote :

You buy a regulator I put metal in the CNC machine and make it today when you pay

So it will be a fresh reg πŸ˜†
