Q:

Kalibrgun Cricket Standard WB 4,5mm

Hey guys, I wanted to make a thread about my Cricket, so here goes. I just recently enlarged the transfer port in my barrel so as to reach 285 m/s with 10,34gr / 0,67g pellets, and today I reached my goal! 😀 However the shot string is a ´Little slanted and I was wondering if you guys had any tips of what I can do to get a flatter string?

Ok, so I shot 70 shots or 5 Magazines through my Air Chrony with a 284,7 m/s avg speed. Here are the first 55 shots

High: 287,0 m/s
Low: 283,7 m/s
ES: 3,3 m/s

And here is all 70 shots:

High: 287,0 m/s
Low: 282,1 m/s
ES: 4,9 m/s

Here is how the string looks like:

Any tips?

Shit 🙁 i broke my regulator…

I had a constant leak that I could not get rid of, I had PM contact with Ernest but even after changing all four o-rings it still leaked. He asked me if the brass retainer was tightend properly so I tightend it. But it still leaked so I was gonna remove the brass retainer again but I tightend it a bit too hard and the screwdriver slipped so the brass retainer’s “slot” for the screwdriver sort of broke, leaving the screwdriver useless because I can no longer screw it out. So now I have a leaking regulator that I am unable to properly open up.

But not to worry, I am going to buy a Robert Lane ragulator to replace this one. So now I can be the test Subject of Lane regs inside Cricket bullpups. I have not yet placed an order but I will get it next week because they are brittish and Sweden is very close to UK.

Summary: I broke my reg and will get a Robert Lane one instead

Yes, even @ 50 yards with ideal conditions (perfect pellets, on wind etc ….) it’s about .6″, for even target shooting it’s another thing you need to comp for.

10 fps difference at 100M is 0.8″ POI shift. Rather much when you try to shoot sub 1″ groups.

Is there any pcp giving less than 5 fps spread for a 70 shots out there?

My Cricket 22 std the last time I officially checked did about 7 fps spread with SD of 1.5 fps for 70 shots.

But, I usually go by the accuracy first and crony results second and or if there’s a problem with accuracy.
Strange as it may seem some guns with subpar crony strings can in fact out shoot some that have tighter ones.

Actually a spread of 10 fps doesn’t make a noticeable difference at least up to 50 yrds
And above 50, you will have many other factors come in play and 10 fps diff. will be the least concern [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES] just my opinion

It looks like your regulator has a power curve and it drops off reg after shot 54. Is the regulator vented on Cricket because that looks like non vented regulator? The results are OK but not what I would have expected from a high end regulated gun.

This gun is fully capable of 1,5 m/s spread over 70 shots. It has been done several times with crickets. Mine is just not fine tuned yet. Tomorrow I will continue testing. This thread is about my Cricket so it will be continually updated with my progress.

I’d leave it there and blast it a bit and try and give the reg a chance to settle in.
…………….. it just might fix/flatten itself ?

1/2 turn after “touch down”

Where is your valve spring set to ?

As for accuracy, you will have to wait, my new scope is not mounted yet because I want to finish tuning the gun first. After that I will try to optically center my scope, I will post it in this thread so you can see how I chose to do it. But first I will finish tuning it.

I will give you a new shot string once I get around to it but it might not be today.

I want less spread, I am going to lower the regulator a bit and see what happens. My goal is to shoot consistently at 285 m/s with 10,34gr pellets. The starting pressure was 220 bar and I stopped after five magazines at about 100 bar

It’s near to perfect. What kind of improvement are you looking for?
70 shots from what fill pressure to what? Increased speed, how’s the accuracy?
