Q:

Left flyers

I recorded my pellets coming out of My 22. Matador and found that they are flying off to the left.
I’m in the uk so it’s shooting 11lb could this be the reason? I’m using 18.13 grain pellets

They is no wind in the footage

Thanks for the info
So if it’s firing over the recommended velocity would this also cause the pellet to spiral

There’s nothing wrong with your gun. It was designed to shoot 18s at around 900fps not low 500s. They’re coming out spinning way to slow to stabilize and wobbling off line.
I’ve recently retuned my 22 long to 20fpe and had the 18s at 695fps.They still shot very well but I know Ed designed the gun for higher velocity with barrels twist rate for optimum accuracy so now I am shooting the JSB 13.4s at 810fps and they are extremely accurate.
I’d suggest them or the 14s so you can keep your speed up around 600fps.

Did you get it from Lyndon and Alex?

Yes I visited Lyndon and collected from his house. Why you ask please

He’s the only person in the UK that sells them. And I enquired with him before and he quoted me £1600.
I was going to buy his last one off him recently, but then he said someone else was interested and sold it.

Have you messaged Lyndon or Alex with your concerns?

Drilling is the last thing I want to do. I’ll try a 14 like I was advised to but it’s a shame because I bought £80 worth of 18.13 grain :3:

The 18’s are the best for shooting at full power.

Try the lighter pellets at a higher velocity before you go drilling anything… 😯

Wise words for once !
The 18gr is a bit much for that little power and eventhough the barrel is designed around the 18gr it´s not designed for 18gr shot at the speed of a wet fart. So try lighter pellets to start with. If that doesn´t help then retorque the barrel before you do the third option – drilling.
I´d go back to Lyndon with the gun and let him & Alex sort it out.

If it´s clipping you have but few options:
– Like Synopsys said try different pellets and hope for the best.
– Drill the baffle holes .5mm larger. All of them.
– Loosen/tighten the muffler a liiitttle bit. The EdGun barrel attachment is a bit … stupid may be the right word.
– All of the above mentioned.

I will have to take it to a gun shop to get drilled out. I’m not very happy about this.

Is they a video on how to drill the baffles. Are these located in the silencer ?

Have you tried using the 14 grain pellets?

No I’ve not tried 14 g I’ve always been led to believe that 18.1 was the best pellet for the gun.

I´d say it´s clipping, like already stated. The pellet speed for a 18 gr to achieve mere 11 ftlbs is barely faster than a stone thrown by a grown man. I´m almost sure clipping is the issue here.

brother Squirrel;

at least post some target pics, or fix your vid, it doesn’t work!

let us see what is your problem, or did you check the pellet skirts very well?
