The question is would you still have bought a Matador after having personally shot a Vulcan and Taipan?
This you will never know till you have shot both.
I agree that you need to make your own experience and that everybody has his own preferences but when I read reviews of qualified and honest airgunners praising the newcomers then I think that probably I would come to the same conclusions.
I think a person like Ernest for example has enough experience to make a judgement on bullpubs (and this goes for many other enthusiasts as well).

I don’t believe for a second this Taipan is any better then either a cricket or a matador. And I did just buy a .25 cal Matador even after hearing that Taipan is a great gun and I bought a .22 Vulcan as well after hearing that Taipan was the next coming of Hoot: :hoot: . The Taipan just on it’s butt ugly appearance looses hands down! The Matador is a very nice looking gun with a beautiful stock. It is as accurate as the next top of the line bullpup and for shooting free hand has excellent balance and for me stabilize easily while locking in a target. The trigger on the Matador is very good not as good as my Cricket but it’s light and I know where it will break. As for the Vulcan it is another very nice looking gun but functionally I am living on the words of Ville and Fox. It will be in my hands within the next two weeks. But PIPPO until they swap out that brick of a stock on that MUTANT MUTT I will not be buying a Taipan. Even that G()D awful black cricket syn stock is light years nicer then the Taipan Mucas stock.
And guess what I am on the list to get Leyla because I am a niche asphole like my crazy old Uncle and yes Ville owns two Leyla’s as well but he’s just not telling you ans would never give Ed that satisfaction. :rofl:
Well I know my comment probably will cause a stir and I really hope you guys will get your Lelyas soon, actually very soon but…..
The Lelya has never been a “best selling gun” with big numbers, it has filled a little niche though, the big demand has always been for the Matador.
Now with all the excellent newcomers on the market, I think Ed should focus on how to improve his guns, his best selling Matador for example.
A handful of Lelyas will provide some cash but every month without catching-up on the newcomers will be lost income on big numbers.
Who of you would buy today a Matador knowing that the Vulcan and Taipan are probably better guns?

Ed, the excentric owner of the EdGun , i quess. Or … He didn’t actually make ut but paid to some machinist to do it for him. Did the machinist get paid ? Well – did those who ordered, and paid, his “Guns” get theirs in time ?? What’s your best quess ??

The best part of waiting for these guns has been watching Ville’s love of Ed grow and grow. He is probably buying one in secret and he’ll never admit it. :biggrinn:

The pics you posted on page 25 are definitely of the aftermarket eccentric moderator for the Lelya. The pic that you found from Ed on the previous page is probably the real deal though.
