I doubt they will drop the price of Lelyas while there are hundreds of pending backorders for them, that would be a stupid business move. Although if the opposite happened I bet they would be asking people for more money.

Some very good deals on some great upper end guns that would have been only a dream a couple of years ago.
i believe it was $1295 USD for a Matador. No mention of the Veles or Leyla.
What impacts the market most are the new features being offered on some of the bullpups coming out. An Edgun is an Edgun. Unlikely to undergo any major changes in the near future. It’s a basic Russian gun…nothing fancy, built like a tank, user friendly repair, and accurate beyond any shooter’s ability that I have read about, or known.
Time will tell whether all of the new bullpup’s features hold onto market share. I do like the mid-line cocking mechanism. That is handy when you don’t want the gun to leave your shoulder. However, with any Edgun I’ve ever owned, and had properly sighted in, there was never really a need for a second shot! At least not at the game hunting distances I shoot at.
Still…I’d like to own all of them, and have owned many of them…just one at a time!

Ed lowered the price on the Matadors today. I wonder if the Leyla’s went down as well. Due to the international nature of this forum, I guess we’ll have to email Tony to find out what the local price will be.

Looks like I might have hit the nail on the head. Ed’s price to his distributors is unknown to us, and most likely unknown to the various distributors. It’s up to the distributors to determine their mark up on price. That’s their profit margin, but…IF they are going to sell their product, they are going to have to match similar product’s price, or lose market share. The Mutants, Vulcans, Kaliberguns, and other new bullpups are hitting the market with new interesting features, and some with a lower price than Edguns. It’s market suicide to ignore that fact.
Ed says we can buy other guns if we so choose, but Tony has a vested interest in selling Edguns. He’s not stupid. I have to assume his market price will remain competitive. It boils down to three items: Supply and demand, Competitive Pricing, and Quality/features of Alternate Bullpups.
