Q:

Line up barrel and air tube

I reset my barrel on my 25 this evening and I was wondering how do you know barrel and air tube are on the same axis. Once you align the barrel with centering screw you can twist barrel any way you like , so how does one know they are properly aligned. I just leveled the block with the scope rail and crossed my fingers its good. Anyone have a rock solid solution for this?

I would think that when the torqueing sequence is applied it will self align, unless the frame is bent.

Small lateral errors can be solution by Optical centering the scope and shim to zero the best you can within 8 click or so.

Burris signature zee rings are a quicker and easier way.
But I’ve been lucky by flipping and or reversing UTG rings.
With a straight edge across the scope and AT.
Checking the distance spaced between by mic down to the barrel front to back on both sides.
Closer to equal the distance the better or less lateral error.

After which I have taken the whole gun apart, reassemble and remounted the scope with less then a 2 click POI change occurring.
