Living on the Edge !! A little fun on New Years Day !!
As I type this my wife and ultra !!! observant 15 year old daughter that loves to bust me !! are sitting on the couch behind me as I am at my computer desk and they are watching the parade on TV. Neither has realized yet that I have recently bought a third EDGUN when I got the .30 in new Orleans while on vacation last week. They knew about my .25 as I had it out playing with it regularly before we left 2-3 weeks ago. What she did not realize was I had already put the .22 short in the safe a couple of days before we left. 🙂
I am having fun playing with fire here I guess….. I got the .30 std. in the safe and been mounting the scope on the .22 this morning with the .25 in the case laying under the tree. Neither has any idea it is not the .30 std. I bought last week yet.
It ‘s about to get fun now and here is the hitch I am devising a way to put the now scoped up and ready to go .22 short back in the case and swap it with the .30 currently residing in the safe without getting caught with 3 of the beautiful green soft side cases in sight at the same time. 🙂 Wish I would have paid more attention the the Illusionist putting on those magic shows on the ship last week.
I’ll advise how it goes if I survive….. If not, It’s been nice knowing you guys 🙂 ……………..
EDIT : Ok, I wimped out on pulling off the full monty and decided not to do it with them sitting here and I am going to wait on them to go to the kitchen on a commercial !! then all it is, is the different appearance in the two guns. !! If I post an update you will know I lived this daring feat………..

Besides, no woman knows one gun from another. Their brains simply do not register details about things that don’t interest them. Numbers….however that’s a different story. If you show a woman one gun at a time, she will not recognize any differences. If you show her three guns at once, then you have to explain one is a “loaner” from a forum member who needs your assistance in getting it “accurized and calibrated”….use big words that have no meaning to women.
Woman are loathe to admit they don’t understand a term men use. They will just stand there and say nothing, possibly give you a knowing grunt…or roll their eyes to show their total disdain for all things manly.
Be brave, my brother….never show fear! They can smell fear…and whatever else you do…NEVER BLINK when talking to a woman!!! They see this as an indication you are lying, which you probably are, so freeze those lids, and concentrate on puckering your bung hole when you are cornered.
It probably won’t work, but at least you’ll go down like a man!

I got a KGB search in my office a couple of months ago based on the court decision in frame of the criminal case the local KGB office issued against me. So, they were looking for something illigal, they took my computer’s system tower. The search lasted for about 6 hours, I managed to take two hard drives from the system tower while at least two of KGB officiers were in the room and hide them the way they didn’t even realilze that they took empty system tower 🙂 You tell me about magic 🙂
Lol….I like the saying…”It’s easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission” You sound like once you’re caught you’ll have a LOT of forgiveness to ask for. 😥 Might as well get it over with.
Good luck Ride. It may help to pour some chips, salsa, candy, or whatever snack they like into bowls and leave these in the kitchen. Might give you more time.

I´m with the Uncle on this one. Neither my wife nor any of the Daughters can spot a difference between two rifles – as long as the color is somewhat the same. Uncle forgot the color part from the equation, though, since women in general have a good eye for different colors whether it´s the color of hair,shoes or a blouse. They will instantly see the difference between a black,synthetic stocked gun and one with a brown wooden stock.
They won´t be able to see a difference between an old shotgun and a Kalashnikov as long as both are equipped with wooden stocks.
Many women are also able to spot the difference in length (that applies for many things) and will see a difference between a short and long EdGun´s as well.
My advice is to have a good lie- or several – on storage when the Wife wonders over the length of your guns. One useful frase is “i´m just testing a longer shroud for this old bugger. I loaned one from a fellow TAG member just to be able to see the difference. Here, have another Bon-Bon” while looking very occupied and like you´re about to start to explain the difference – in a long and boring (for women and homosexual “men”) lecture – the length has for the Ballistic Coefficience.
