Q:

Looking for a .22LR pistol $200-$300

So far I’m on the fence between the Browning Buckmark and the Beretta NEOS DLX with blue inserts. Really like the look of the Beretta.

Academy also has the S&W 22A for around $200 and the Walther P22 at about $330. I think there were a few others at around the same price range but don’t remember the makes/models.

I don’t need compact. Just decently straight shooting with a decent trigger. It would be great if it could cycle SUB sonic ammunition. From a pistol that may be a stretch.

What are your experiences with these pistols?

That’d be sweet lama. At about $200 it’s pretty appealing. If it’ll cycle that ammo it may be the one.

Oh yeah, they had a Ruger MKIII that looked pretty sweet.

We have a smith and wesson 22lr pistol. I think it’s the same one you are talking about, not sure as it’s not with me, but I think that’s right.

Anyway, it’s a good little gun. Decent trigger, and it’s pretty darn accurate. We have a cheapo green dot sight on the top of it (came with the gun) and it will hit right at where the dot is. I can’t hold it still, so that dot usually isn’t where it’s supposed to be, but it hits where the sight says it will. Never tried subsonic ammo. We have some remington subsonics (well, it says subsonic, but at 1050fps it’s pretty fast…) but in the next few days I can try it out if you want and let you know if that will cycle it.
