Lubing the gun
I’ve watched the intro video and it said to use a little silicone oil on the slide, but beyond that, what parts do I need to maintain? The trigger? Also, has anyone used white lightning(wax based bicycle lube)? Is it appropriate or should I stay away from it.

I bought both White Lightning bike lubes at WM today. I like the sound of the Easy Lube’s dry wax film not attracting dirt, or in the case of my Condor, dirt or lead dust. Also, the Epic Ride fluid base semi-dry silicone has got to be better than the tacky silicone grease.
I’ll probably also use the Epic Ride on my Hill air pump.
be goddamn sure to let that stuff dry, or your ass is grass, that stuff is super flammable ❗ ❗ :!:(btw, silicone in its purest form is a oily somewhat tacky liquid, the addition of amorphous silica thickens it to various viscosities of oils and greases, it never dries completely…) see if AOT still got any samples left, mines on the way 😀 😀 😀

about that bike chain dry wax lube mentioned earlier in the post, i went and got a bottle and looked up the MSDS to verify the ingredients. after seeing that it is composed of paraffin, ptfe, and a blend of proprietary fluorocarbon lubricants, as well as boron nitride, all in a petroleum solvent base, it seemed an ideal candidate for inner frame lube. i coated the inside of the frame with a coat, careful to avoid any seals, and it so far feels as though it were quality control in a bottle, smoothing and quieting the cocking cycle extremely well.
ill keep you guys posted as to how it performs in various areas of critique, but it feels i may be onto something here… 😎

No problem so far. Used on my Maruaders O rings as well. I have some divers grease but have yet to use it. Just the shock oil.

You’ve used it with no issues Tulsa? I used to write and paint for Xtreme RC magazine and have lots of that oil around.
I own a hobby shop and silicone oil is used in shock absorbers on radio controlled cars. You can get that stuff for about $4 for a 3oz bottle and it come in everything from 5 weight to a 500,000 weight which is almost grease. 😎
that was definitely a good call,bennee, far slicker and better in the cold, and every bit as easy on the rings(though mine are viton, so it dont really matter…
yeah di-eletric is good alternative to divers silicone too!

I use valve lube , DOW111 or some damn thing I forget. Ill have to look later when I get home.
