Q:

March scopes for EDgun ????

Hi all,

I want new scopes, and I’m looking at the March range……

Especially the 3-24×42 which seems light weight but yet with some fantastic reviews…..

Anybody tried those ????

Cheers

Looks exactly like UTG QD Weavers. Actually very sturdy rings. Maybe those are of another maker though …

That scope is a piece of optical art !

Sir Ville, thanks for the info, looks like you nailed it. Checked various sites for UTG and they all seem to confirm your opinion. Now would you care to venture a guess on the height?
Thanks a bunch, Mike

I have highΒ΄s on my EdGun (those exact UTG mounts) with a 44mm scope. Perfect for me. ZocoΒ΄s mounts donΒ΄t look especially low either .. πŸ˜€

Linkan, thanks for the effort. I’m tryin’ to confirm but the Warne site seems to be having a bad day!

Trygve, I wonder if you would be kind enough to share some information on the scope rings / mount that are proudly supporting that beautiful scope? I am about to purchase a March for my EDgun and those rings appear to be a perfect match.
Thanks in advance, Mike

…Can you please explain the HUGE difference? I would like to know the reason behind the additional expense that can make such a huge difference so that I can justify (in my mind) why I need one too. πŸ˜€

hehehe……… πŸ˜€

No I can’t. In economical terms it is pure madness……..

As is having all these airguns lying around….. πŸ™„

What is different and better though is the turret feel and accuracy, the zoom ratio, the clarity at 24x zoom, the weight and a few other things…….

I am comparing it to my Bushnells as week speek. There’s no doubt what I prefer……..

But I cannot help you justify buying one…………

Wasn’t it “Liberace” who once said: “The difference between men and boys is merely the price of their toys…. πŸ˜‰ ”

I need help I know….. 😳

I own a NightForce NSF 8-32×56 (don’t waste your money on an NF – overrated) and a Leupold 8.5-25×50 Mark 4 LR/T 30mm on Varmint PBs. Neither begin to compare to the one March I looked through at my range. I think it cost nearly as much as my 6 Sidewinders added together but holy cow.

Watch this on a large hi-res full screen. 1000 yards. This baby is on 80x.

Because my bench rest is on my second floor covered deck, I needed the light (quick removable) on top to get over the railing and only mount it for night. There is no feeling of top heaviness. The laser comes in handy when the invading raccoons move in the dark. [They] are attached to the front ring rather than the scope. Although an inexpensive bipod relatively speaking, it does allow for horizontal (side-to-side) shifting besides the normal pivot and you need it with the coons. That light is advertised at 900 lumens but is probably close to 750. That combined with the laser at night is a fierce combination on the damaging pests. The .25 Predators really do their job. In usage it is very effective.

……..Are you missing lasers? Not allowed? Not needed?

Not needed ……. πŸ˜‰

I agree. I have all Vortex scope levels on all of my PCPs except for a Hawke on my P-Rod and use high mounts at 6′. How many Cricket and Edguns, March scopes, and Atlas bipods? I am up for adoption. πŸ˜€

March scope, Atlas bipod… He has the best of everything on that lady bug. Must be his favorite. πŸ˜›

Same set up for my R3s……………… πŸ˜‰

In addition I’ve added an Atlas monopod on both inspired by someone on here………….. πŸ˜€

AND there’s a HUGE difference between MARCH and other scopes, and that’s not the price only………….

Needing high mounts (being 6 foot 4 inches), I’ve also learned to appreciate a bubble lever to cope with unintended canting……………….
