Matador R3M .22 detuned to 20ftlbs
Ive just finished detuning a .22 R3M for a field target match this weekend.. After a few reg adjustments Ive got it set at 20 ftlbs with 15.89gr Edgun pellets and it is absolutely stacking pellets at 55 yards! The velocity is a touch too low for the 18gr pellets as the trajectory suffers.. they still group well but I wanted it to shoot a little flatter so I decided on the 16gr instead.
It was a last minute change of plans and the other shooters this weekend are expecting me to turn up with my Steyr.. None of them have seen an Edgun in the flesh as yet and it will be a first for NZ to have one entered in F/T..
I wish now that I had done it earlier so I could get a bit more trigger time to get a little more familiar with the trajectory of this pellet/velocity combo..
I hope I can show case just what this little pup can do and show that its not just a high powered hunting pcp..

At what reg setting did you end up with???
When I received mine it didn’t shoot anything close to what you have with its 130bar setting…

Niether did mine at 130 bar.. this thing spat the 16gr pellets at 990Fps which was too hot for that pellet too be stable in the Edguns twist rate.. there is a 25ftlbs limit on the weekend to stop knockdown target damage.
I am yet to measure the reg pressure as I did it the old fashion way..
For anyone wanting to give it a go I marked the factory 130bar setting at 12 o clock and turned the reg adjustor in to 7 o clock so a little over half a turn.
It is much quieter and very consistant on the chrony..
Hopefully Ill get a bit of bonding time after work with it tommorrow..
