Modified my SS today
I have done a few little tweaks today. Firstly I added a hi-flow tank to get the extra range I was looking for. Then I thought I had better add a more powerful scope to compliment. I have tended to use no more than 10x magnifications even on full bore rifles and I always felt it gave acceptable accuracy even when shooting over quarter of a mile away. But after reading a few threads on here recommending 20x, 30x and even more I thought id give it a go.

I hate to bring this up…..but you mounted it backwards!
The initial low power crosshair targeting scope, the little one at the front, should be in the back of the rifle. You line up your target with the little scope first, then home in with the big boy. It’s a very common mistake.
This accounts for why you are having problems with your close shots! Flip that baby around, and you will soon toss that red dot/laser scope.

I am glad you all like it. As this scope is a little unsuitable for close range I have decided to get a new laser pointer for closer range work.
Its good for about 250,000 miles. Only problem I have found is it does tend to incinerate any furry critters I point it at 😕

Couldn’t understand what I was looking at at first!!
Looks pretty good but you might consider adding a shade to it. I figure a good 18-24″ long shade will be perfect. If the scope maker does not offer one, you might consider a section of sewer pipe.
