Q:

Monday nite pellet rolling video

New to some old to others, but with everything I do it is new to me and if I find it interesting others may also. I will say so far that I can tell a difference in rolling radi. which encompasses the head and the skirt diameters, but none the less there is a difference !! The pellets from Ed, via Tony are much more consistent than the AGD but on the other hand if my gun prefers one roll -vs- the other and it is not the Ed pellets, the standard issue JSb’s from AGP and PA yield a more dramatic mixture from which to sort out the ones I need. I hope you like country music, It’s how I roll at least this evening.

Ride I assume you size skirts prior to roll test. What do you use to size the skirts. I think I’ll have to try that Yarrh roll testing, seems interesting if nothing else and does indicate differences within a tin of pellets. Thanks for sharing.

I was not sizing the skirts first tonight. However I did have a sizer made that is 1/2″ thick steel bar with two tapered holes that run from .260″ – .252″ in one and .260″ – .254″ in the other. Once I get some sorted stock built up here I am going to size the skirts and see if the rolling holds merit and if so then off to do some shooting to see how much of a difference it makes.

hey ride… seeing you got a nice indoor to shoot in… when you get around to shooting them post some pics of the groups with the different sorts… haven’t done the pellet rolling yet but heard it works, curious to see how you make out
