In the fourth photograph it looks like he did some machining on the part under the barrel block (or whatever it is in front of the breech). 😯

Upside would be, a multi-shot EdGun would have a decent resale potential even if “permanently” modified. 😀

And it is 3 different pieces that are modified: the probe, the breech, and the piece that sits next to the breech that the barrel fits into (not sure what to call that, maybe it’s just a 2nd piece of the breech). But definitely not reversible unless you have all the spare parts.

If the wait time for a new breech is the same for a new gun, then I’d shy away from doing ANY work that could leave me with a non functional gun.

I think when Ed sells his conversion you will have to replace the entire breech…

One could always order a second breech/bolt assembly and modify it.

I’d draw the line at modifying the frame or part under the breech. 😉

edit for proper spelling of ‘breech’… 😳

And you can’t do a production run of this because it requires the breech to be machined. Do you really want to alter your Matador to do this? There have been other alternatives that do not require permanent change to the Matador.

The problem is filing the pellet tray and the bolt. To much hassle in my opinion.

BSA mag would auto-index also. And, yes, indeed, the FX does as well.

Well, – autoindex ??? 🙄

At least in the case of Daystate, – there is a slider with a notch underneath the mag that is pulled back with the bolt. The notch pushes on a “button” on the magazine’s bottom surface that makes the spring driven mag index one position forward….

Is that auto indexing ???? 😯

I have never seen a FX-mag ( 😳 😳 😳 ), so I’m not sure what makes that one index, and I don’t have the time to look for my Rapids right now…. 😉

But the FX-solution shown in the video does look kind of cool………

How cool is that!!!

Well shit. That can’t be all that difficult to pull off then!!!

Zoco, you got the funds, how about a production run? 😀

quote synopsys:

How does it index? 😕 😯

Unless it is built into the mag there is no way for the next pellet to be set into place…

Yes, the FX magazine does auto index, just like the Rapid, daystate etc..

It cannot be THAT difficult:

If only I had those skills…….. 😳
