More questions on the .25 Matador…
Hi guys…
Currently I own one Matador and I’m the happiest airguner alive. Now that I see that a .25 is coming, I have a few questions for those who have more exprience than me with the brand.
I see that it comes with a very high energy output… Too much for what I want.
I need a 50 FPE for shooting with the JSB kings, not eun jin artillery shells.
Does the .25 has the same platform than the regular matador, where we can tune up-down the power easily?
Anybody know how it shoots with a lighter pellet than the Eun jins? I want the JSBs or maybe the Kodiaks, but that’s as far as I want to go on pellet weight.

T-shirts and Sweatshirts? I’ve had a login for the Edgun site for a couple weeks now. But, have yet to be “approved” to download images. Every time I click on an attachment, I get an error (prompt to login) message, despite already being logged in. Too bad for me – there are tons of images to look through on the Russian forum.
Mam, Would you be willing to download a few images and host them on photobucket so the rest of us can have a look?

That means that I will be the first to post here about my new Edgun (other than the 25 cal long version).
The race in on as to see who gets a 25 first. Texas vs Illinois, Hurricanes, oil spills, Mexican invasion, who knows?

I am sure that Ed knows what is best for the Matador. When I get mine, I will try all of the heavy 25 cal pellets that I have, and I just ordered a bunch. From the posts from Ed, I think he was going for mega foot pounds of energy. He also said that the JSBs were perfect for accuracy. The Matadors are easy to turn up or down. If I can get great accuracy with the 25.4 JSBs at 880-900, things will be golden! 😀
5,000=10,000 per valve? That is a lot of dead long range starlings, grackels, pigeons and ground squirrels before I need a new valve!
Hell, before I get that many shots, Ed will have something newer/faster/better out, I can always sell this 25, for more than I gave for it, and buy the new one! Or just buy a new valve, it can’t be that much.
I love my standard 22 cal Matador, my kids or grandkids will sell it. I am sure that the long version 25 will be up to Ed’s standards. I expect it to be a keeper also.

I am not made of money and these Edguns are busting my ass! I would would pay more to get mine quicker.

The reason I am purchasing your gun over all other guns is because of the simplicity of design, and because of the very very good accuracy you achieve. I need to know before placing my final order with Tony – are the LW barrels in the “Long” Matadors more accurate than the ones in the “Standard” Matadors. I’ve heard news that the barrels are different or higher quality on the long barrel guns.

25 sounds too tempting but the valve lifespan comparison mentioned by Ed, made me think twice.

I am thinking not more shots per tank but I am planning to do testing with
less power to help the valve and shoot pellets with less weight….
I ordered mine in 22, medium size.

and EVERY day…. They have been well worth the wait….
Be grateful you are living in the US. I´ve ordered mine in february, it arrived in april, and crossed the south border safely just two weeks ago.
Hopefully I´ll get it next week…
Once I have it, I´ll put my Steyr on sale.
Tony emailed me yesterday, seems I’m the next guy in line for a new Matador, and he had one available. But, it had a thin scratch on the air resevoir (Tony offered a discounted price).
The scratch didn’t really bug me, but the stock was not the style that I wanted (it was the wood-grain version without holes, not the standard grey one). It took me every ounce of self control, but I declined. Ed has already stated that new Matadors will be shipped with the regular grey/black stock. I’ve come this far, so I’d might as well wait to get exactly what I want.
…Still, that was very difficult, knowing that I could have had one of those en route by tomorrow…
