Q:

My .25 Daystate Air Ranger gets a new barrel

I have one more rifle to try and test today and it’s sort of a new toy. I found a previously bought but never used BSA barrel, machined by Leupy, for my .25 Air Ranger! The previous owner couldn’t get his Airwolf barrel off and never mounted the BSA barrel. It is very straight and in new condition. This will bring me from a 17″ barrel to a 24″ barrel and could possibly bump up my power from 48 fpe to 60 fpe. This BSA barrel is so much thicker than the factory LW barrel and I’m considering getting a barrel support although it doesn’t seem to need it. Later in the day I will post a video of my factory LW barrel. Although it was fairly accurate, it is no where as straight as this BSA barrel.

Hay V Can’t wate to see what she will do long range. Inquiring minds want to know. 😀

Still shooting and messing around but the BSA barrel on my Ranger is the shiznit!!! Much tighter groups than my LW barrel and it’s crazy accurate with the JSB Exact Kings and with the 31 grain Kodiaks! I can’t believe how much better the .25 Kodiaks shoot out of the BSA and i’m getting over 56 ft/lbs! My .25 Ranger just went from a pure hunting and killing machine to a rifle capable of 1/2″ groups at 50 yards while producing 56 fpe! You can say I’m happy with the Leupy machined and crowned BSA barrel I found and bought from the Yellow forum! 🙂 I cannot wait to switch barrels on my Rapid. I’ll try to swap them out tonight so I can do some testing tomorrow.

The pics and results for the other rifles will come later. I’ve gotta go shoot something. 😆

So the LW barrel did not do as well in the roll test as the BSA?
That thing should be a real hammer Bobby… Can’t wait for results….

Is that the most powerful .25 besides the Condor ? Looks Sweet. Do you have a LDC for it?
