Lately the barrel quality has been hit or miss. But just like any other gun, find a pellet the gun likes and they do pretty well. Definately hunting accurate, I don’t know about competition.
what’s the accuarcy on one of those 2250 crosmans?

Nice arsenal . Looks like my bows I own . I am currently down to 8 bows . 6 for bow fishing and two identical set ups for bow hunting . A man can never have to many weapons . 😀

Dred, you can do stuff like add an angle adapter or line bulking for using bigger CO2 tanks.
I dont shoot paper except when zeroing but accuracy is good enough for me. It’s been cut and crowned by Roy at Mountain Air. He does a nice crown IMO.
The loudness without the shroud is maybe similar to a .22 short from my 22″ barreled autoloader. With the shroud its more quiet than the pellet whizzing through the air or impacting the target.

Thx Marauder…I’m going to be selling the mod 58 very soon. I’ve had it for many years but I don’t think there are even over 1000 shots shot through it. Basically its the sports version of the Beeman R11 MkII. http://www.beeman.com/r11.htm I’ve never chronoed the gun but it shoots very hard and is very accurate. Python is there any kind of mod to use a 7oz or a 9oz paintball tank. I’ve been thinking about getting a 2250, but I want a much larger co2 capacity. I hate all of those powerlets and those 88s cost to much. Can you tell me about your gun. Accuracy,Noise,Where you got the work done etc…if you don’t mind. I haven’t fired a 2250. I heard they were loud???? Your gun rocks :8
I have that p1 mag and I want to kind of do a barrel setup like that too..Longer barrel and quieter.
The hell with that, I rather have a bad assed pinto over a mustang any day of the week, if your going to own a ford it might as well be something cool. 😛
and yes I have had a ford, I lost my ’66 F 260 long bed step side with a 302 RHO, duel transfer cases, locked 60’s front and rear, roiling on 36 x 12.50 military hummer tiers that I built in the divorce 😥 😥 😥 😥 I do truly miss that truck!

The 2250 probably weighs less than 4 lbs and holds and points extremely well. It does 13 FPE for 22 shots, yet you almost only hear the hammer hitting the valve… and that is still quieter than a Condors hammer striking the bolt. After some parts and polishing, it has a better trigger than my Condor and I am as good or better at hitting what I’m aiming at with it… especially offhand. Downside of course being power, range and the ability to use it in cold weather.
Though mine has right around $500 in parts to make it look pretty, you can make a stock 2240 or 2250 shoot just as well for just a few bucks… and I literally mean a few bucks… So really, for the money they’re great guns. Tinker and make them shoot much better, or go all out and make them look nice too. 🙂
Very nice….and BTW I retracted my Crosman statment 😆 . Why do you think its a better rig than an AF?? Do you mean for the sake of portability?? One point to make when ever I see anyone give props to Crosman Guns it’s when there so modded there no longer the same gun. Do you really think that a stock 2240 or 2250 co2 powerlet powered is better than a stock ss talon co2. Don’t forget not everone is as rich as us 🙂
Crosman guns can be turned into a work of art but out of the box I’m not sure you could convince me its better than the AF line. Tell me what you think…just curious. Give me enough parts, money and skill and you could turn a Pinto into a Mustang, but I’d rather have the Mustang….Just an analogy for you pinto lovers..I don’t want to start a Pinto war.. 8)

This one is a dream to shoot compared to an AF gun or my recently acquired 97K. Only thing that would make it better is a precharged tube.
