Ha, I found it 😆

I can’t see anything wrong with what you said, pure truth 8)

and you right about it not coming close to to being rowdy by the standards here, quite mild in fact, I thought you were laying into someone for something stupid they were doing.

Wasnt even a rowdy comment, really… Was a vid of some fellow with a Gamo recon and my comment was along the lines of

Idiot, get a real airgun… or something to that effect.

I left a few comments that night on various vids, but I’d be hard pressed to find them now….haha

Certainly wasnt ‘rowdy’ by TAG standards… 😆

Rob, witch vid did you leave a rowdy comment on?
I’ve seen that dam pig one and I think it is bull shit they would even try something like that let alone publish and try to sell guns with it, just plane old poor judgment if you ask me!

Re 2250 mods….

Catch me offline on it sometime. robertsrc/at/charter/dot/net

Now that I think of it I have been thinking of getting a 2250. Where did you get all of your mods done or did you do it yourself. If you write back I’ll get back at you… have to work tommorow. Cya

Cdn Hunter- Link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVX0y2Pcj_s

Rob- I agree with your comments and to answer your question…It fits right on the rail. Its not the best looking bipod but its versatile It can mount to Picatinny and Swivel Stud. Not as good as my harris bipod I loaned out 10 years ago and never saw again. 🙂 Much less expensive though. Heres the link http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/accessory.pl?accessory_id=1624

No hard feelings at all…Nice collection yourself. I knew I’d get some flak on the crosman comment 😆 you know what I mean…I retract the Crosman attack 8) Only thing I could think of…I used to own a 1377 multipump when I was a kid. I have bad memories of all this pumps to get one high power shot 🙂

I agree about that pig video. You have to be careful with reckless marketing. It’s funny you mention that I was just watch that.

I’ve been thinking about doing some youtube vids myself on some guns. Something is always missing from some of those you tube reviews.

can someone get me a link to that video of the gamo ad

My whole problem with Gamo is the same as with many other airgunners. The ad where they show Ray Scott killing a 200lb hog with a .177 Gamo Airgun using their PBA pellets.

While possible, it’s certainly not ethical. There has been other ads with Gamo spokespersons claiming to have shot large game with the PBA pellets in .177 and I, along with many others, fear that kids and newbies get the wrong idea.

Right after the Gamo pig video, the forums had quite a rash of kids asking about using their Gamo guns to kill large game. It was irresponsible marketing by Gamo.

The velocity claims…. eh… not a big deal in my opinion. RWS exaggerates their velocity as much or more… it’s just the notion that Gamo has put out that it’s OK to use a .177 pellet gun to take large game.

…..and off topic….

The bipod on your FWB… does that fit in the accessory rail or is it drilled in the stock?

Why do you think that? Do you think that the higher velocities ads will draw to much attention to the hobby and make it look to threatning?? Splain your thinking please 🙂

Dred….

I, too, didnt realize until I saw this… thought perhaps I had a groupie that came back from YouTube to track me down…. 😆

I’m normally not as brash with my opinions outside of this forum…. and certainly not on YouTube… I had been watching all the Gamo pig killing vids and vids of these little kids running around shooting Gamo’s and it struck a nerve.

I do own a Gamo…have owned a couple in fact. I can appreciate them for what they are and have even done a very fair comparison to the Shadow and the RWS 34. Just that after the pig video, I really have lost respect for them and their role in airgunning.

Still, I’d not want to make anyone feel badly for what they shoot….
even if it is a Gamo! haha

……….Crosman low end???!!! Thats BLASPEHMY! HAHA…Crosman fan here….

Anyways, glad that there appears to be no hard feelings.

quote Love my Talon SS:

“If for no other reason, the marketing that Gamo employs is bull shit.”

Kinda like Bose.

haha….

The difference is the marketing by Gamo has the potential to ruin airgunning for all.

Hi rob3r. I didnt realize you were one of my fellow TalonAirgun brothers. I wouldn’t of been as abrassive. I also hate Gamo’s over marketing. The whisper doesn’t whisper and they never shoot quit as fast as advertised…unless you use those expensive PBA rounds they test with. I guess when I think low end I think more like a crosman or some chinese or russian junk gun. As you can see I own a few guns of varing type and quality. The funny thing is my least expensive guns are the most fun to play with. My daisy $75 Daisy is almost as accurate as my FWB 300s. Wish I would’ve known that a while ago. That would of save me a grand or so. If you ever get a chance try that recon. It’s not as bad as you might think..creepy trigger, weird safety and all. And it is cheap!!! My favorite is my Condor though especially with my Tony shroud. Thanks for the collection compliment and for writing and keep up the opinions. Its fun to talk airguns.

Nice collection…. I still stand by my opinion that Gamo is a lower end airgun. Sorry. I wouldnt want to make anyone feel bad for what they shoot (though my comment on YouTube was quite harsh) but I’d also be remiss by not trying to steer anyone away from a Gamo product if they had the means to get something else.

If for no other reason, the marketing that Gamo employs is bull shit.
