Q:

My AR fired a two shot burst

Was at the range the other day and My brother in laws nephew was firing my Alexander Arms Beowulf .50cal. On his second pull of the trigger it fired a two shot burst, is this something that happens with AR’s? I have 400 rounds through my M4 and its never happened, have only put about 150 through the .50. Do I have to be worried about it happening again and have my gun taken away? I will try to post the video.

there is a special place in Hell for whores like Nancy Grace
she is like the Anti Oprah Winfrey, not that I am some great Oprah fan
years back Winfrey did a show where she had several former death row inmates who had been freed after decades of incarceration. The Worst case, a black who had been accused of murdering his family based on “testimony” from a white gal next door spent decades professing his innocence was only freed when the Prosecuting Attorney made a death bed confession that they knew the witness was the actual perp! Yes entire cop shop, DA and Judge conspired together. As he was the last surviving conspirator a short time later the special pardon was granted by the Governor with the catch that he was not allowed to sue the State for wrongful incarceration!

for those that think this shit is isolated a few years ago DOJ themselves released a study where in they figured that up to 8% of our Nations prison population is innocent of the crimes they were convicted of.
8% that’s not too bad is it?
until you ask yourself what 8% of well over 2 fucking million American citizens is!
clue?
thousands and thousands of wrongfully convicted folks doing time for crimes they didn’t even commit and this is according to our own government. Amnesty International put the number a bit higher at between 12 to 14%

A while back, I got in an argument with my 86 year old uncle about the death penalty, I said they should drop it, too many people are on death row that are innocent. I left that argument feeling shame at arugueing with the patriarch of my family, but at the same time I know I was right

When I was a copper, the tactics used to get a confession were nothing short of torture. Period.

Now I see people like that man you speak of put in prison for 30 years being released. This madness of imprisonment of the masses has to stop.

We put everyone we can in prison in this country. When a stupid young kid commits a henious crime thru ignorance, we scream for adult prosecution. it is like our stupid fucking fellow countrymen have nothing to do but put people in prison, then offer them no path to redemtion. So as a result we put a 14 year old in prison for life.

I am sick of it, I am ashamed of our legal system and I spent my career promoting it, I wish I could forgive myself.

WHat happened to the concept of earning forgiveness?

Nancy Grace is a Whore to her TV paycheck.

the officer was correct
possession of a firearm plus narcotics trafficking offense = violation of an actual law
this is a different deal
understand that the ATFE interpretation goes far beyond illicit substances also including use of controlled substances in a manner not prescribed by a physician
Soooo
lets say your pill bottle sez do not use with alcohol and it can be shown that you did, maybe BA results from a DUI test
even though you were in legal possession of the drug you technically are now prohibited from possessing firearms for the next 12 months

During the years of the Clinton Administration ATF actually raided and referred to prosecution a good number of decorated WWII, Korea and Vietnam vets to DOJ for prosecution
their “crime”
ATF crunched Military and VA records for folks that had spent any time in military/VA hospitals for combat related stress
since they had effect been involuntarily “committed” the reasoning went was they were prohibited from possessing firearms

Needless to say there was a huge stink about this shit that led to DOJ declining to prosecute these obvious “felons” but to the best of my knowledge no one had their guns returned
similarly it has been argued that any involuntary commitment bring the GCA into effect against the committed
Get a misdemeanor DUI, court orders you to in patient treatment as part of the plea agreement you may very well some day lose any right to bear arms.
remember the constitutional prohibition against any Ex post Facto law dies on the vine with how Gun law is enforced
if you were a felon prior to 68′ when the GCA passed into law you were prohibited from possession
if you had a conviction for misdemeanor Domestic violence prior to the Lautenberg Act, didn’t matter you are the same as a felon today

Gun control has never had anything to do with eliminating firearms
only thing gun control is about is turning a Right into mere privilege of the elite and ruling caste.

😆 CNN…

This is for you RC…

Michigan is notorious for having super tough penalties on drug crimes.

RS, you had mentioned that a while back in another post. Not long ago there was a Cops episode or something similar where they busted a dude with 16lbs of pot (they got the guy below him and worked their way up).

He had a Mac10 or some other automatic looking pistol/rifle in the closet and the stuff under his bed. He kept saying it’s registered, it’s registered.
The officer said it doesn’t matter with 16lbs of dope in the house!

Luckily nobody was shot… 😯

Wasn’t there a guy released today who did 30 years for something he didn’t do! Double ouch.

Who is Nancy Grace? 😯 MSNBC? 😆

there’s the boggle…
there really is no crime
does any rational citizen actually think smoking a joint 11 months earlier means you are a “Drug Addict”?
this isn’t about law my young friend, this is about a Bureaucrat redefining what a term or phrase means for political grandstanding on the backs of the American tax payer.

Ah yes, the glamorous war on drugs. I hate drugs, but I say legalize most of it, and tax the ever living hell out of it. Too many idiots though that will get behind the wheel of a car on something or another. And that number would probably go up if it was legal. You can’t win. And what do we do about firearms? I don’t want someone smoking pot, legal or not, to be at the range with me. Just like alcohol.

I did not know about the stuff you are talking about though. I’m not surprised that the punishment runs deep though. Commit the crime, serve the time, and be sure to read the fine print.

What if it is medical and legal in your state and your busted by the feds and you have all the state permits?

Yeah I know, Obama says it is okay now, but for a while it was not. Who fixes that, who makes up for that travesty.

Just like the prisoners who serve 30 or 40 years and then DNA evidence frees them?

Who fixes that injustice?

We have more people in prison than any other advanced country in the world,, does that mean we are more corrupt or illegal, or does it mean we have a jucicial system out of control?

Or does it mean we have a populace that is controled by TV and cunts like Nancy Grace?

Roachcreek

agreed of course
the difference here is that nearly everyone is aware of the inconsequential nature of the penalties for small amount of weed in most jurisdictions
very few are aware that while use of the substance is not a crime, that’s right, there is no crime is use, its all based in possession in most States
that use will effectively strip you of your 2nd amendment rights.

I mention the kid from Iowa due to being familiar with his family, know of other cases where folks went to prison for this “crime” where there was no drugs seized by the authorities
one case involved a failed workplace UA that somehow came to the attention of the local LE, a couple others where people admitted to having smoked at a raided house party and were in turn later raided by local LE & ATFE as they were known to possess firearms.

This was shit that came out of the early years of GWs Presidency
truly evil, wasteful nonsense in an already over worked and over crowded CJ system.
used to be quite the activist on pro 2nd issues and tracked these developments rather closely
thing is the NRA actually backs this policy so whats the point?

Moral of the story. Weed is against the law. I am not going to put down someone who does, but they should realize it has consequences if you get caught.

I speed when I drive, and I know if I get caught I can get a speeding ticket. It is amazing to me how so many people that smoke weed are so surprised when they get in trouble for it. 😕

Yes Lawmaster’s case was notorious
as far as ATFE is concerned it does not matter if something was legal in the past
with the stroke of the FTB pen they will make you an unconvicted felon because of normal ignorance of policy
Known several “decent” ATF compliance officers, would run into them doing plain clothes walk thoughs of regional gun shows
one of the games was “count the felonies”
myself I can walk into any major show in the midwest and spot at least a couple dozen violations sitting on tables…mostly 922r related illegal builds
same with out of state transfers by non licensees at shows in border cities
folks just don’t know the silly damn laws
here’s one for you
did you realize that if you smoke a joint, even just take one puff and don’t inhale ATFE regards you as a “Drug Addict” for a 12 month period and just as prohibited as any felon to possess any firearms?
are many tagged on this?
maybe 50 to 100 a year
Know of a kid in Iowa who was busted for small amount misdemeanor, bought a surplus Mauser that fall and was later tagged, convicted and sent to prison for nearly 3 years
nope no other criminal history
just small amount of pot which made him an evil weed adict under the ATFE’s interpretation of the GCA
scary business when you consider the number of otherwise legal gun owners that indulge here and there

Just read the Lawmaster case… 😯 😕

Ouch.

yeah seen various Cali legal ARs
scary shit
like fixed mag lowers that you loaded with a stripper clip after cracking the rifle open.
another had a vestigial cali legal pistol grip
nutty shit

quote Riverside:

Syn…
There are large numbers of ARs out there on the used market with a partial M16 parts load
most owners don’t have a damn clue
last year at a Cabela’s I saw an M2 Carbine on the used rifle rack with a M2 marked receiver, don’t matter how the rest of the rifle is configured thats a Machinegun receiver and the “experts” at Cabelas had no clue until I pointed it out to them, was even in their stupid bound book as a M2!
point is the average Joe can’t tell you what parts are in his guns

😯

As much as I like the black rifles those are the issues i’d rather avoid. I have spoken with a few FFL holders and some know more than others about the Cali laws. Some rules are quite obvious, others are complicated and without proper applied knowledge one could get themselves in a world of hurt.

Simply by making a thumbhole stock for a semi-auto, clipped rifle like the mini-14 in Cali turns it into a very illegal firearm… 😯 Only semi-auto in Cali with a thumbhole stock is rimfire 22.

Look up the “bullet button” non-assault loophole… 😕 You can have all the assault stuff with a bullet button or damn well close. Good way to get the cops called to your house to “verify” it’s legal.

If I move to a real state i’ll add a black rifle to the herd for sure… 😆 Ok, another black rifle, my TalonSS is getting upset. 😆

Yeah
