Q:

My AR fired a two shot burst

Was at the range the other day and My brother in laws nephew was firing my Alexander Arms Beowulf .50cal. On his second pull of the trigger it fired a two shot burst, is this something that happens with AR’s? I have 400 rounds through my M4 and its never happened, have only put about 150 through the .50. Do I have to be worried about it happening again and have my gun taken away? I will try to post the video.

It should not happen. Are you shooting factory or reload ammo? How old is the lower? Does the lower have a burst selector or is it single shot only? Has someone tried to do a trigger job on it?

Asswman,

That is a common occurance. Especially when you have a hard recoiling gun like that 50, the recoil sends the trigger back against the trigger finger and sets it off again.

I installed a Jard non adjustable trigger in one of mine, a carbon fiber Bushmaster, a couple years ago, when I would bench it, something about the hold would cause it to double now and then.
