UPDATE:

I have changed scope “leupold” 3,5-10×40 copy instead hawke. Hawke is quite heavy.

Hello, I have a leupold VX3 4.5-14×40 ao that I’m not using.
What is your minimum paralax setting.

Thanks
Dave

Short slow mo video for 50m (55y) – Pellet speed 270mps (886fps) 18grain JSB. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QESdrP7r4Q&feature=youtu.be

So, I absolved two times strip the cricket for regulator tuning. First I had 1/4 turn CCW and it was so much. Then I did 1/8 turn CW and check. My maximum speed is 278mps (912fps) With this velocity and regulator setting (is unknown for me) is accuracy the best at 886-887fps. Efficiency also good 20bar for 14 shots. When I compare it with the stock setting now it is better because stock setting took 25bar for 14 shots.

one video slow motion at 45 meters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5QtctdDd0g&feature=youtu.be shoot down plumb line

I have added an extra o-ring under that screw. Yesterday I received 3mm collar from china and I put it like Ernest said before.

Congrats on the nice Cricket, I just scored a Optisan Viper 10×44 SCB for my new .25 Cricket.

IΒ΄ve had one of those on my EdGun. Really good scope actually and good enough to plink .22LR cases at 50 meters. I miss that scope now … πŸ™

Here is a good video on trigger fine tuning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAlCwUNQVBc

And another: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTEUuzuHdko

Any Cricket owner should consider these a “Must Watch” for trigger adjustment.

Thanx πŸ˜‰ Now I Europe is Viper 10×44 very popular on spring rifle due to stability and durable spring kicking.

Congrats on the nice Cricket, I just scored a Optisan Viper 10×44 SCB for my new .25 Cricket.

Wow, that guns a shooter, 3 Fps sd in 65 shots 😎

Please roll sort some pellets and shoot about 6 or 10 , 5 shot groups in a row so you can really rub it in. πŸ˜€

Too bad they shoot so well when in order or i’d go over to something else. Benjamins are fine though and universal in quality. Too bad they cost more than double the price of JSB over here.
I’m glad i found the FX brand was made in 6.35mm too but it’s a shame FX don’t have .22 heavies (18.13gr) in their line up. Only 15.9’s.
EdGun pellets should be a good choice too but not easy to find in a pinch….

It’s ashamed that JSB pellets have become hit and miss. Anyone live near them? Maybe a road trip is necessary to find out what the real deal is with their intermittent quality and if there is a way around it (like select pellets at a higher price). πŸ™ I remember how they used to advertise that all of their pellets were individually inspected and packed but with the cost of labor things have changed for the worse – probably to keep the prices down (are the prices really down?).

My 25 now has around 600 pellets thru it and the reg is , i think broken in now. I slowed the speed down to +-270 mps and now i get at least 55 regulated shots 200 bar down to 115-120 bar. I think that’s really well done from a 25 cal.
The accuracy is really good too with FX 25.4 gr pellets, aka JSB’s although my trust for JSB is gone. Haven’t had a decent tin in ages- half of the pellets,or more, have damaged skirts and whatnot.

As I wrote to PM letΒ΄s try set higher speed. Maybe you have set the regulator slightly higher from the factory. Do not forget for barrel cleaning.

I clean the barrel…..the flyers continue..I go try resolve this next saturday and post here….the gun shooting good 5 or 7 shoots and out one or two out the target(1 cm out)..
this only at 38 yards don’t is so longer…my pellets is JSB heavy and Air Arms heavy 18.1.

I’II go crazy here!!!

The cricket may need to take at least 500 pellets to break in first. also have you tried JSB 15.89? It likes the pellets. smaller group than 18.1.

Thanks oldguy πŸ˜‰ Yes everything is ok. IΒ΄m very happy with the cricket πŸ˜€
For me is enough power 860ft with jumbo heavy.
I donΒ΄t know if is it only my feeling that trigger of cricket has veeery long first stage and harder second stage? I’m used to more crisp trigger from HW100…
Has anyone shortened the first stage of the trigger? πŸ’‘

My Dear Number Eight…

Go to Youtube.com and search for videos by “Ernest Rowe”. He has fifteen videos and there are two (2) excellent videos on how to adjust the trigger length of pull and pounds/ounces of let-off on Cricket triggers. It is kind of tricky if you don’t know where that little hex screw is located, and it is tiny, so have a set of hex wrenches available down to at least 1mm.

Is the little Cricket really 24″ long? What does it weight?

Good luck…
