LOL…….it is. I’m shooting it over my shoulder backwards using a mirror now…

Octavius it looks great with 13fps es, which pellets are you using now 15.9s or 18.1s ? I’m using 15.9s and reg is adjusted for 880fps. I thought I saw a pic of your SN, mines earlier SN 0016#. Ville I’m 1/2 Finn Hei, I know about losing a little air with lighter VS setting, that’s why I’m looking for the balance point between not losing too much air and great consistancy. It’s seems to be between 1/2 and 1 turn depending on your springs and reg output setting. A 15.9 reg setting for 880fps is 12ms less than a 18.1 setting for 880, it would seem lower reg output would require lower VST. I have my .25 tuned for a flat 900fps with a very tight ES, but that is a different animal, springs are stronger VS + HS and reg is adjusted slightly higher. Zonk you don’t miss a chance to rub that target in, very very nice it must be very boring to shoot LOL

Thanks Zonk. I think Cricket is able constantly shooting 5 shot group under ONE DIME ๐Ÿ˜† – when is calm. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

So do I……………

I don’t mean you, Jan. Yours shoot well. My remark was for mr. Sprocket. Rear Sprocket … ๐Ÿ™‚
I myself am waiting for a CF shroud + can for the Compact .177.

Iยดm quite satisfied with consistency ๐Ÿ˜‰ Yes, sure could be better but now it doesn’t chance POI in the target.

You get better consistency shot/shot with lighter VS setting. The air consumption increases a bit though but for me the consistency and accuracy is far more important than a couple of lost shots per fill.

When you look on my shot string .xls file you will see the cricket does any problem with consistency at 1/2 turn valve spring. When I back home I will measure my hammer spring. I have early batch of cricket too but probably not first because I have already numbered manometer instead colored. My nr. 00752

No I haven’t it’s at 2 now and seems a little too much, so I’m debating between going to 1 or 1+1/2 next. I know what you mean by HS CW too much. This .22 at 2 is quieter out front but the consistancy started moving around on the second and third mag. This Cricket is only 12 digits from your serial number and is from the first batch of Crickets into the US so it has a slightly shorter and weeker hammer spring which may be feeling the heavier setting on the VST.

Octavius I see your VS setting at a 1/2 turn, was it like that from the factory and have you tried other settings? Mine came some where between 1 and 1+1/2 turns from the factory.

RearSpr hmm I can not tell you how spring was set from the factory because I strip my gun when valve (plastic) broke. I have had plastic valve yet. I tried one full turn and 1/2 turn and 1/2 turn seems good because when I had 1 full turn I have to much CW hammer spring. Did you tried 1/2 turn already?

Thanks Zonk. I think Cricket is able constantly shooting 5 shot group under ONE DIME ๐Ÿ˜† – when is calm. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Not bad shooting…

So, today I have couple of time for chrony my cricket with whole shot string with new speed 272mps (892-900fps).

Hi Jan,

To reduce the first stage creep (travel) length I added a brass tube over part # 87. Sanded the thickness down till I was satisfied with the pull length.

Hello Greg,

I cant sent you PM because you have probably disabled them..

Greg thanks for info. Have you same pictures? Now I quite satisfied with my light cricket regulator tuning. I did 1/8 CCW from factory setting and 1/2 turn valve spring after contact. And result is 20bar for 14 shots.

My has minimum paralax from 20y but I have only copy of leopold from ebay. I will sell it to airsoft guns. Now I have hawke sidewinder 6.5-20×42 on cricket. Is the best choice. Maybe better should be some SWFA scope but those scopes are not provided here ๐Ÿ™
