Really nice Cygnus…. As far as that “line” in the wood, I’ve worked with wood like that before, and have seen the exact same thing before. That’s how the wood can be naturally, I doubt it was from any sanding error, unless you actually feel a dip in the surface, in which case I doubt they would let it go. Beautiful gun, congrats.
Those new trigger housings are a HUGE improvement!
It will be interesting to see whether you rub some magic on it with some tuning, or decide to leave it as it is.

About 10 years ago I commented on a forum that the DAQ trigger guards looked like they came off a cheap ole Cooey .22….
pissed Dennis off and when I saw him at Little Rock three years ago he made a point of rubbing it in good naturedly …. sort of 🙂

i dont know what kind of aftermarket stuff there is
theres a bolt handle which opens and closes the breech (metal) and then theres the cocking handle which is directly attached to the hammer and flies forward as the rifle fires
the hammer is pretty easy to cock…and the bolt opens and loses nicely
i like the grain on the stock…however im bit disappointed about the line on the right side of the stock, like the sander or something slipped
Not familiar with the DAQ, whats the other knob for ?
I could see some after market bling happening there, custom knobs ?
