my new 8 shot 2240 HPA carbine
Yes, you read that right.
I have this cool little 2240 HPA Carbine, I have written about it before. I just got a 8 shot magazine for it, a RIM that I bought from Quickster47.
It took about 10 minutes to install, is made of a aluminum body and some sort of plastic and aluminum magazine. It holds 8 pellets and came with three magazines, two of which are all plastic with the exception of a few small parts.
It is not self indexing, you must pull back the bolt, index the rotor to the next pellet and close the bolt, takes less time to empty than to read that sentence.
And it works. The magazines are easy to reload, and you can load them and pack them in your pocket.

Those are Mosters in the magazine, so I have 8 rounds of 20 FPE.

Next up for this little gun is putting on a 14 inch Disco tube I sent to Ron at B&A this week to have a Boss Disco valve installed for more horse power.
It will be in direct competion with my Talon SS, same power, lighter an did I mention it is a manual repeater?

Packrat, it is the ascetics of the situation, I just can’t get past that ugly tank. I know you get so much more performance, but it just looks clumsy. An I know it is not, how could it be when it is under 5 lbs.
But I know it will be a natural procession for me to do that, maybe I will wrap it in lace black panties to make it look better. 😎

Tatsumi, yes it is a Tipman, I had to add to it with JB weld to build it up to make it more stable, but having carried the Car 15 and then the M4’s for so long it is a natural to me.
Shorten the air tube, install a QB79 tank block with a JDS airman 22 cu.in. hpa bottle with 1600psi regulator and you’d have something with LOTSA shots @ +30fpe..I have 2250B, 18 ” barrel, 13.cu.in JDS bottle w/1600 psi regulator..I can get 21 shots at +34FPE 25.4 jsb Monsters @ 790-800fps. If it had TWICE the air volume, gun would still be like under 5 pounds, super short (with 18″ barrel) , every bit as accurate a TSS ( from my experience). I also had the RIM system on it for a while ….sure can through a tin of pellets in a hurry !!
I must admit though, that with the longer airtube, instead of a bottle, the gun will look a lot nicer (IMO). Wasn’t knockin’ the way you’re doin’ it, let me make that clear. 😀 😀 .I was just saying that it can have a much improved (higher) shot count, if desired..I personally think the Crosman 22xx is the most awesome platform EVER ❗ ❗ ❗

I see what you mean about the two rifles but would’nt it be nice if you had the same space to add lasers/lamps and bipods, then you could kind of make it a mini version.
Edit: is that the tipman stock you have there?

I tried a 25 King in it, no way, I even doubt that it could be altered.
He makes some neat stuff, this is a very nice addition to the arm.
I have it sitting by the window, which I removed the screen from, along with the .25 Condor with a 43 Grain EJ in the spout and the hammer down, the 2240 has Monsters in the mag.
Last night we got hit by two raccoons, one big one and one I did not see.
I let the worthless dog out, they went nose to nose, the coon growling that growl they do, the dog saundered off to piss. I could not get a shot with the Airarcher because of the dog. Not mine it belongs to a friend, if I had a dog that did that, I would have shish-ka-bobed the dog and the coon.
This gun will soon no longer be a 2240, it will only have a after market 2240 breech, and lord knows what product the barrel was on.
This is the second night in a row this has happened. Hopefully I will have some dead coon pictures posted, or a better nights sleep.

Nice RC! I always wanted to get those mags…but I sold all my 22xx pcp’s. I have two left. A .25 pistol with a DAQ barrel and a LW 25xx disco. I wonder if I could get those in .25???
yeah, you can compare it to the talon ss, but will it be as accurate? close, but as accurate? and also your shot count will not be close to the talon SS. Super sweet carbine!

WHOA guy!! I wasn’t trying to say that mine was better than yours, at all! you mis-understood…I was justt saying that you still got “room to grow” ,and in fact I admitted my was ugly with the bottle compared to the slim line design of the air tube version.. dang man, peace!
