My take on the Priest…
Well I just tried to sight this in today and I’m going to be that one in five dentist. First off how anyone can put up with that annoying whistle and it does not go away is beyond me! And there is no way a .177 air gun should break your wrist trying to cock it.Even if this was all I had to complain about sitting next to my Mutants and Cricket I would never grab it over them.
Now for the biggest disappointment, the accuracy. I tried JSB 10 and 13 gr. and AA 8 and 10 gr. I’m getting inch and a half groups locked onto a sled at 30 yards

I’m going to try a different scope and clean the barrel but this is not what I expected. Still there’s the whistle and stiff cocking. Why would I put up with this when I have way better choices.Hell if I shot this outside in Colorado I could call in a bull elk!

If the .177 and ,22 washers are the same set up as the .25cal, you could remove one of the poppet side bellevilles ))) and turn the last one like this ()(())(())(()) to lower the reg pressure.
Stock/OEM spring needs to be replaced or trimmed to use the spring bucket adjuster. I’ll check the HiPo spring spec’s later today.
I’ll see what R&L will do with this situation first. The gun is pretty much useless in this caliber. It takes 3 to 4 shots to hit a paintball at 30 yards! :sadn:

Try the 10.5gr crosman premiers.. the 10.34gr Jsbs can be fussy in some guns.

The 10gr isn’t bad at all, 10gr and up puts you right in the velocity ballpark that shouldn’t affect accuracy negatively.
I probably have the right spring as I don’t have the weight installed at the front of it. The spring butts right up to the butt plate so adding an adjustment screw would do nothing to lighten it.The only way would be to buy a bunch of springs and try to find a lighter tensioned spring.

As for the HST, you could/can install a captured screw in the butt plate and a spring bucket/cup in the spring to adjust the HST. :winkn:
I don’t know about the 125 reg, but the 150 doesn’t have any shims in it.
I dont understand why this gun has not been made with a HST??? the .177 and .22 clearly needs less hammer spring tension.
The most accurate of the JSB .177 pellet range is the 8.44gr at 900 to 930fps. I would try removing shims from the reg to lower the set pressure first and test the groups again with the 8.44gr JSBs.
If this works you will get better air economy leaving your reg at the 125bar and try to find a lighter hammer spring to drop the velocity. you could get a much lighter/shorter hammer spring which would lighten the cocking too and just fit shim washers behind the spring until you pick it up to the 900fps mark.
Im sure it would be easy enough to thread the end of the spring housing under the butt plate and fit a flush mounting screw for use as a HST.

Given that the gun can interchange barrels and such, I’d think the same spring/reg setup would work in all… but that said, I agree that it’s shooting a bit hot for .177. Hell, it’s likely a little hot in .22 with that setup. I cant speak to it as my only experience is with .25 and mine is grouping well for me. I’d hit up Matt or Randy and I’m sure they’ll make things right with you.
And then I wonder if they put the .25 spring in this gun instead of the lighter .177/.22 one.
Well actually I’ll have to go back to the video I thought the .25 used a stronger spring as well as a different regulator.
