Q:

New brother for the R2.5

And he was already in for a couple weeks, but first wanted to test shoot it…

Next to my R2.5 Eddy, here is my new R3 SuperEd!
It’s the .22 standard and I will try to produce even better groups then with my R2.5 (if possible πŸ™‚ )

Some pics say more then 1000 words:

And some first groups at 110 yards or 100m (remember, these are the first groups, SuperEd hasn’t had got more then 200 pellets!!!!!):

and lol:

Thursday I go back to the range and try to get good groups again, but also try to shoot as many pellets as possible πŸ™‚
Let the gun settle in!!!

Hahhaha, idd..

It’s Gringo’s R2.5 now πŸ™‚

Difference… Not much, overall the same but the R3 is a lillte bit harder to clean. That’s for me, just a shooter, not a mechanic, the biggest difference.

Maybe also a bit less recoil, but both have almost no recoil but still, if you go far in precision shooting, every mm counts! πŸ™‚

:Sorry, idd 100m or 109 yards.

I only shoot at this distance… Our range doens’t go further πŸ™‚ and it is the competition distance too..

Idd, I’m very happy with these results. At least I know again when I make the fault. If now the Eddy could shoot alone, it would be all around the red dot. πŸ™‚

Also, these were right out of the thin JSB 18 grains, so not sorted, weighted, etc..

All other groups stayed under the 1″ consistently all night.

PS. OG, I do not hate you but I’m jealous at you for your knowledge of Edguns.

Ps2. my friend did bought a new Styer LG110 Hunter and in the beginning of the evening he shot also very good. All within the range of 1″. Speed was also around 885fps with 16 grains.
But then, when the “airco” went stronger again, his groups opened up like mine before. Strange, because he had also the good speeds……..

He was shooting at 100 meters/109 yards.

(or so he says! 😯 πŸ˜† )

(He had to send me an email and show off before he posted it here!)

GREAT SHOOTING KAZZZ!

PS, I STILL HATE YOU! πŸ˜†

What range?

And back with some news..

Yesterday at the range I still has some problems with the wind comming from the new air circulation thing (or how do you call this)..
I had 3 or 4 groups more or less with each other, but then one always dropped 2 or even 3″.

So what I never wanted to do, but yesterday I had to do was listen to OG and turn my speed down to 885fps because he told me/us it is better in windy conditions.

And……………………

He was right.

Group from last night with my R3. I guess the diamter of the inner circle is 1″, so… it’s less! πŸ™‚ Time after time I hit these groups.

Zoco,

My boresnake is another one. Stupid to think there are no others around πŸ™‚ But I’ve never seen yours before.

Mine is something with a thread on a longer hard peace where you screw on the white patches and the problem is that it’s too large…
But some friendly people already did want to help me out so… I’ll wait for them πŸ™‚

Other problem: I can get my shroud off.. WTF.. how did you got it off…? Maybe not necesairy but.. :s

Cleaning? Only when groups start open up. But not after one session when groups start to open up, because can be me or weather or…. but only when the 2nd time they are still crap πŸ™‚

And the prog its name is ontarget pc I guess:

quote kazzz:

At the moment very pleased with the EdII.

Only one point (but that had the R2.5 too) is the problem to clean the barrel properly.

I do not like the fishing lines. I prefer using a good boresnake or even a good brush, but it’s simply not possible without removing the breech. And that is the big problem. The treads of the screw in the breech are not that good and will eventually break, so you cannot tighten the screws anymore πŸ™

Kazzz, – how often do you clean ????

I have no problems with a boresnake. It may not easily enter through the silencer, – but a thinner snake has done the trick for me. I just guide it very carefully passed the crown and all the way to the pellet tray end (bolt pulled back).

Yes, – only the tip of the snake is visible in the pellet tray, – but enough for me to guide through a gun cleaning patch. I use a toothpick to do so (my “sausages” are deffo not meant for that kind of exercise):

Once entered I pull the patch further in with a flat nosed plier. After that I just pull the patched snake back out and repeat until clean….. πŸ˜‰

That said, – you are dead right. The screws attaching the bolt assembly are dangerous to the soft aluminium in the end cap. Utmost care should be taken when handling these, – otherwise threads live a dangerous life…. πŸ˜₯

Hi NIKOLJO !

Those are some fantastic groups ! πŸ˜€

And please enlighten us:

What is that software you’re using ?????

MrNew has asked the same question further up. Don’t tell us you haven’t seen it……….. πŸ˜‰

Cheers from Oslo where “Chronelia” and I are planning some serious sessions over the weekend… πŸ˜€

Brilliant idea !

I’ll have to try that………. πŸ˜€

Guys….

I clean my 2.5 w/Tipton carbon fiber rod w/mops after removing shroud.
First I fire a couple of cleaning pellets.Careful w/crown,I reuse mops after cleaning w/Goo Gone.Takes less than 5 min.No way I`m taking gun apart every 2 or 3 hundred shots.
