Q:

New calibers for the Texan

Just looked on the airforce airgun website and talked with then on the phone and she told me they are coming out with .308 and .357 calibers barrels for the Texan just hopefully they are interchangeable like the Condor. Will post new info when they get back to me in a couple weeks. 😀

I wonder if the Texan can use a .58 or .72 barrel like those xp-airguns? I dream of shooting a 20mm air cannon launching a 1000 grain slug at 1000fps.

I’m just a hunter and not an airgun expert serjiego. I’ve added airguns to my techniques a few years back and just kinda got hooked. That said, I am going to guess that the .257 would be better ran from the Condor or Talon platform. Many have done it and I see .257 barrels on sites like RL Airguns ready to roll.

I wonder if a .257 barrel would be over kill for the Texan valve.

 I am now certain that your elevator has no cables to remove it from the sub basement

I heard on an interview that each caliber will have a specific valve to go with it, implying that its not just a matter of switching barrels. I will certainly be tempted to pick up a .357 barrel and see how it does with the existing valve set up.

Not sure if you followed my suggestion in a previous post. A simple restrictor sleeve over the top hat stem and seal connecting rod. 3 sizes cover you from a JSB pellet right upto 180gr 357gr rnd. Very simple plug and play no fooling with different spin loc bottle valves for 308 357 or 45. Just one valve. And your choice of bbl.

Pm me for more details and pics.

I told airforce exactly what happened and the parts and labor was minimal. The shipping cost the most for the entire transaction. Someone charging you $192 for taking apart your gun is a total rip off!

Also bet if AF saw what caused the problem they would not have fixed it

LMAO! I knew something was off!

My Texan is good and I shoot using helium with homemade bullets. I am happy with what airforce has done for me.

Voltar1 wanted me to pay him $192 for spending 5 hours taking my Texan apart without telling me the costs. I had him ship back my rifle so I sent it to airforce and they did all repairs for $130 which includes shipping which was $80.

Seriously Joe? All that crystal hype cannot help you keep track of who’s who in the zoo?

Betting your rifle is as good as new eh?

Please do tell, what exactly did Airforce say about your Texan?

As I said…it’s interesting that you don’t even know who worked on your rifle…wasn’t Voltar1.

And indeed there are folks who try to rip others off. Found one post where a guy was trying to sell off a mangled Texan claiming it only needing trigger parts…fucking scammers eh? 🙄

What can anyone say more to this?
