New Cricket STANDARD Owner
Hello everyone, I’m a new member here, some may know me from other forums. I have a new Cricket Standard .22 and I’m very happy with it so far. I haven’t received my optic yet so I’ve only dialed in the trigger and put a few over the chrony. I’m wondering if fill pressures above 200bar affect velocity even though it’s regged ? 😉

A friend of mine ( sometimes a very irritating Mr. Know-It-All) told me that those colored Gauges are due the very restrictive Russian export laws for weapon industry. The colored cauge was to make them look more as toy guns/soft-air guns ,which they were exported as , at that time. The company (Kalibrgun) has since moved to Czech republic and can now export their product as is under the European Union export laws.
That´s what Mr. Know-It-All said anyways and who knows – he´s been correct occasionally.
That said it doesn´t really matter – other than the toyish looks – since it´s there just to tell you how much air is left before a refill is needed or when it´s about to go off reg. These manometers aren´t known to give exact values anyway, colored or numbered you only get an estimate or so. The numbered WIKA sure looks more professional though but then again there are people who prefer the color scheme and look of the Pride -flag too … :3:
I hate my Color gauge.
Give Airgunsofarizona.com a call. They probably have a replacement numbered gauge.
Hoot
Does anyone know where I can order a replacement WIKA “numbers” gauge for my Cricket?
I hate my Color gauge.
On a side note anyone that wants a nice single shot tray for their Cricket, they are available from Mr. Ernest Rowe, they are available in different colors and sizes for .22 & .25. His email is matomaya@earthlink.net I’d post some pics of mine but I don’t have a photobucket account.
I agree colored manometer is strange. Like for illiterates people. 🙄 I like clearly see numbers not color like child. WIKA is top producer of manometer.
I turned one of my sockets down, it is very thin ❗
The supplier is a German company WIKA, we have a local supplier is RSA and the cost was around 26 usd (converted)
Dont know why Kalibr use a branded gauge 😯 its the same manufacturer and probably cheaper unbranded.
My bug also improved with every mag. Getting close to 5000 shot count.

LOL 😆 You guys are killing me, you two made me edit my first post here. 😥
Mater Thanks, I guess you have a thin walled socket for the gauge, did you replace the HS adjuster as well and if so with what? Also where did you source the gauge? My gauge is a little annoying, but doesn’t really bother me since my fill setup has a good gauge on it and when the needle is at the bottom of the green zone it’s off the reg and that’s all I really need it for. Thanks RS
Welcome REARSPROCKET…….Awesome stuff.
Must say I don’t like the plastic adjuster or the gauge.
Changed mine

Valve housing, spacer and regulator

I see by your post title your trying to combine two subjects in one thread. Your Cricket and the STD you picked up.
While we welcome posts on the new Cricket, a Medical forum would be a better venue to discuss your STD. 😛
Nice gun.

That is a nice gun, but with all the itching and scabs, I’ll bet it is hard to concentrate on a target!!!
Mix equal parts of honey and keroscene and rub it on the sores! It works great for crabs…not sure about syphilis or gonorrhea, might have to see a chiropractor for something like that!
Kindest regards,

Ed I measured it last night and it seems to be M14x1 RH, so an allen set screw with M14x1 thread 14mm long or so should work. As I’m sure you know M14x1 RH isn’t a common size, but it is availabe. I haven’t removed my hammer spring to measure the OD or ID for the spring seat bore on the front side of the set screw adjuster. Edited for correct thread size.
Your welcome, keep in mind I was a machinist for 40 years and make all the parts i can. If you happen to have a sample or a detailed print of the piece you are wanting let me know, or send the print to me and I will let you know if it is something I can make for you and a price for doing so.
Thanks Ed, I have some thread pitch gauges but not sure I have metric, I’ll dig them out tomorrow. Seems it must be either M13x1 or M13x1.25 then ? Which are odd sizes to find anything already made in. Going to have to buy a die of the correct size and cut a new adjuster. Edit: for correct size, measured at 14x1mm 😉
Rear I don’t know much about the cricket, but the Edgun being made in Russia is all metric, I am assuming the Cricket would be to. All you need is a fairly good pair of calipers and a metric thread guage, a good hardware like Ace will have the thread guage they are not expensive. If I had access to a Cricket I could tell you what it is.
Thanks Roach, I’m starting to learn who is who here 😉 Hello Trygve, So it’s not a 1/2-20 thread? Maybe it’s a 13mm-? It seems to measure somewhere between the two. If not I kind of hope and doubt it’s a one off thread. I just finished a new 220bar fill string after a small adjustment and a better tin of 15.9s with pauses from 10-20 seconds in between shots. The strings are getting better already. Seems if the pause between shots is equal and long enough the string is much tighter as well. If you leave off the last two it’s much better, not sure if they were on the reg or teetering there? 💡 Edit the below string was with the clipping shroud, now it’s between 880-886 for almost all of the string.

I hate my Color gauge.
For my understanding the newer Crickets are delivered with numbered gauges. That means you should be able to order one as an OEM spare. I bet they´re made by WIKA anyways.
