New Cricket STANDARD Owner
Hello everyone, I’m a new member here, some may know me from other forums. I have a new Cricket Standard .22 and I’m very happy with it so far. I haven’t received my optic yet so I’ve only dialed in the trigger and put a few over the chrony. I’m wondering if fill pressures above 200bar affect velocity even though it’s regged ? 😉

Welcome aboard Rearsprocket.
I see by your post title your trying to combine two subjects in one thread. Your Cricket and the STD you picked up.
While we welcome posts on the new Cricket, a Medical forum would be a better venue to discuss your STD. 😛
Nice gun.

It looks like the thread is maybe 1/2-20, the well measures slightly over .500 I’d like to know for sure what it is and then get some set screws and machine in a spring seat/cup to the front side. I think they used plastic to protect the threads and keep it from moving around and not holding adjustment.
Damn, bet I, no I know I’ve read all of Trygve posts and just forgot about these adjusters. Hell to get old 🙁 but beets the alternative 😯 Maybe Trygve can find us more details as to dimension and spring information. Thanks for helping an old guy out 😀 😀
I borrowed them from Zocoloco’s Bug-Ed thread page seven IIRC, he found them. Does anyone know what the thread is for the adjuster ? Seems the stocker is pastic as stated in his thread. I’d like to replace it with a flat headed allen set screw that’s drilled for a spring cup for now till someone offers the adjuster with the guide rod.
Hey Sprocket where did you find those photos? More details please….looks simple enough to make 😀 Let the mods begin 😯 😀 😎
Thanks, I’ve heard the same from a lot of Cricket owners, and I have seen mine change before my eyes. I’m thinking of dialing in just a little more speed, it seems to need just a slight adjustment to achieve a flat 880fps my target velocity. After it brakes in I’ll readjust if needed. This Cricket is quite a package, and the more I use it the more I like it. Seems the Russian built units use a different or longer FAC hammer spring than the Czech Republic built FAC spring or the adjuster is of a different length? I’d love to score one of those custom hammer spring adjustment knobs with the guide rod.

Hey Rearsprocket welcome to the Cricket game. I think you are going to like it.
Your rifle but I would and have not touched mine till I get close to 2 to 3,000 round through it. Let it settle in and see where it goes to have a bench mark to work from then start fiddling with it. Just my cheap 2 cents worth… 😀 😀
Any way welcome aboard the “buggun” team 😯 😎
I hope so, thanks for the graph. This is straight out of the box with not the best conditions IE lighting, an unsorted not great tin of pellets and no fixed rest. The reg seems to be getting better and better with each outing. I’m going to try some adjustments to balance the HS with the reg and one of my older pellet tins for the next session. Edit I had a clipping issue with the shroud that was replaced quickly by Steve. That graph and string above is all over because of the clipping. Now with the new shroud she,s shooting between 880 and 886 with a narrow spread of just 6 fps and lazer accurate. Man this thing just gets better and better. 😀
Rearaprocket, my brain is much easier to register with graphs than numbers. Here is the string graph. The string would be much smoother after 3,000 rounds, based on Mater’s description.

Thanks, I just pulled a string in the basement with a 220bar fill and JSB 15.9s, here’s the results. The reg seems to be settling in because it seems to gain a little power every new time over the chrony ? This wasn’t done in a rest or paused between shots. 46 shots between 870-860 seems like a great shot count for such a small package. This thing is putting a hurting on my air tanks 😆 Edit: the string below was with the clipping shroud, now it’s between 880-886 for most of the string. 😆
871.0 871.6 866.4 862.9
868.4 868.7 872.6 865.6
861.9 866.2 869.8 858.2
879.7 861.8 866.4 859.1
866.0 867.8 874.8 END
858.0 866.0 866.9
870.8 865.8 871.0
869.0 863.2 863.4
873.1 865.0 876.6
870.1 868.1 866.8
874.7 866.1 860.7
870.6 861.2 866.9
869.5 872.6 866.0
869.6 870.2 860.8
Welcome to the forum and congratulations for having a new Cricket.
Mater just posted a Cricket standard .22 string and she was fed to 290 bars without burst out.
The velocity variation is minimal until 130 bars, a solid 85 shots.

Lyndon from UK was working (may be still is) with a gunsmith company, -and he said somewehere in one of his posts that they were unable to identify the threads of the adjusters……. 😯
As for the picture of the adjuster mods, – that came from one of my Russian friends on the EDgun forum….. 😉
Hammersprings: Apparently there are a lot of different hsps available. If I understand it correctly, in some countries the gun is delivered with three different. Has to do with local power regulations etc…..
Would be interesting if we could have somebody in the US measure the hsp and give us the exact measures. Length, thickness, number of curls, inner and outer diameter…..
For .22 as well as .25….
Likewise if somebody in the 12 fpe world (UK) could do the same….
Guys ???? 😉
Cheers
Trygve 😀
