Good to see these finally announced. Ed told me about these in November and it was hard to keep it to myself all this time 🙁

Cant wait to try the new R4 and not really digging the new Lelya.

The EDgun Leshiy should have been a side lever repeater. The new Lelya should have the matador stock on it. It’s about the same size as a Vulcan. Ed should not have used the Lelya stock design.

^You do realize the folding stock is actually the reservoir right?

I’m not really overly impressed with the new Leshiy . It’s not a bad looking gun , but folding butt stocks are nothing new .
I would rather have a tube retractable butt stock on it . It would still make the gun small enough for carrying in thick
brush and woods but more importantly you would be able to adjust the rear butt stock length as you wish from all the
way in to any length out to the total out length . With the folding butt stock you get whatever length it is and that is it .
Ed really didn’t show us anything in his video except walking into the woods with a folded gun and then walking out with
a large dead bird that he claims he shot with it . Why didn’t he show the gun in actual shooting action and show everyone
how good this gun works ? He had the ability to film it in action and all he did was walk around showing the gun off . For
me knowing that Ed has problems with some of his past guns , show and no tell doesn’t work for me to want to buy this gun .
I would need to see a working video of this gun in real shooting action otherwise to me it’s just a big paper weight . ❓ ❓ ❓

Well, maybe I’m wrong or maybe I can’t explain what I mean but I think this design shoulders better with actually less head canting.

IMHO regardless of the scope, lower mounts means lower axis between the sight and the bore helping accuracy (IMHO theoretically the best option for aiming/accuracy would be being able to aim directly through the barrel bore).

In other words, Ed has increased the distance between the sight line and the shoulder (therefore less head canting) by bringing the gained distance (given by the lower mounts) under the barrel.

This gain (plus another small amount gained from the new stock design) helps aiming position and comfort.

Plus being the distance between the center of the bore and the center of the scope less, this should help shooting accurate.

If all what I said makes sense    (Has been a difficult week, I’m very tired)

And if I’m wrong who cares? I just gave my :2cents:

quote Pippo:

I’ve never liked medium/high mounts on a bullpub but it looks like the new stocks of the Lelya and Matador solve this problem making it possible to use low mounts, so for me this would be an improvement.

Furthermore a lower bore/scope axis should help accurate shooting.

Not really crazy about the new designs (maybe St@r W@rs :darth-vader: influence) but I estimate function over look.

:2cents:

I don’t see how the scope axis and barrel height changes much on the new Lelya or R4? I think it’s an illusion that it does as both these appears to use eccentric moderators. Even the Leshiy has an eccentric moderator from the appearance except you can cheek weld it lower. Using a scope with a much smaller objective diameter could mean you’ll be able to get a lower bore to scope height. It’s the same for the existing models too. It’s really dependent on scope selection and if you’re able to get comfortable using low/medium rings. 1.125″ rings seems to work for me although I haven’t tried 1.0″ rings. Anything lower than that is probably too low on most bullpups where you rest your cheek/head on the breech. I don’t know if I can shoot with a canted head.

just put a scope level on it, problem solved :2cents:

If the Lelya 2.0 had a larger diameter but shorter airtube and had the moderator from the R4, I think it would be a winner considering it’s a multishot lever action. As it stands, this new Lelya is a bit too futuristic looking for my taste. I’m sure some will like it but it looks like something that came from Halo. The grip around the trigger has to be improved as well. It’s a much longer bullpup now and could use a traditional pistol grip.

i forgot to ask … hopefully someone can ask ED about this

can we upgrade the old Lelya to the 2.0 ? possible ? at least there must be a way to figure this out like matador R3 can upgrade to mag

i was gonna sell my lelya

but after i saw this actually i’m gonna keep the old lelya .. its shorter and better looking than this one … only thing good in new version front lever action and mag

also the new leishy i hope ED put gauge on it .. pcp without a guage that’s not clever … i face this problem with my veles until i found custom made guage with quick fill and i have install it

i saw ( Regulated trigger – yes ) could someone explain ?

Some pics from Mika ..from French. (MERU) .

The new silencer design. ..

quote ElmerFudd:

The reservoir on the Leshiy is tiny and half that of the Lelya 2.0 however the shot counts are about the same. I’m curious what speed/FPE those shot counts are measured at.

Thanks for posting this info Hemn but the weight with scope is kind of pointless (no fault of yours of course). Hopefully Ed will chime in and we can get more details.

The Leshiy might be sub 12fpe or maybe a bit higher?

Interesting that Ed now lists the working pressure from 300bar.
I really like the Lelya with multishot and that massive blocky moderator. Stealth is important to me and the shear size of that thing looks like it can get the job done. What is the AT volume of the current Lelya?
