New Edgun

Got my Edgun about a week ago. Really impressed with this rifle. Lightweight and compact, shoulders nicely. I had read where the trigger action was not that good, mine seems fine to me. It has about 3/16” take-up and then lets off very crisply, with no noticed over travel.

I was pleasantly surprised with how quiet it is. I have a shrouded Condor and the Edgun is quieter with more of a metallic tink when it fires. Very backyard/neighbor friendly. Mine shoots JSB 18.1 pellets at 896 fps. I checked my fps, using my Combro, on a fill of nitrogen and got high 890’s for the first 48 shots then it came off of the regulator. I shot around 65 shots, on that fill, and ended up with 831 fps on the last shot. The regulator is supposed to be adjustable, haven’t figured out how to adjust it yet. My owner’s manual shows how to adjust it (I think!); unfortunately the manual is printed in Russian! Oh yeah, that reminds me, can anyone out there read Russian? If so, I have a job for you!

My Condor, with a Talon tank and valve, has a 24” shrouded barrel and at 46” overall is quite awkward to drag around the woods. The Edgun offers the same performance, with possibly better accuracy, and is a joy to carry in the woods.

I tried to shoot a couple of groups today. It was windy and had a few good gusts mixed in. My gun rest won’t fit my Edgun and I have to shoot off of a crappy old shooting rest. Considering the shooting conditions, I got 5 decent groups. The first and second groups were with JSB 18.1 pellets. Groups 3,4,5 and 7 were shot while standing, and they show it! Groups 6,8 and 9 were shot with Kodiaks. Group 6 has 6 shots in 1 hole, with the inevitable Kodiak flier. I know that this gun is capable of shooting better than this, need to get my rifle rest modified for the gun and pick a less windy day. All groups were at 35 yards.

I bet a 410 would drop right into that stock… with the trigger rod mod of course… and the clamp/ring scope mounts mod.

Hawke SideWinder 6-24X56 SR12

Oldgoat what scope is that?

trudenko@yahoo.com Is where I got mine. $1499.00 deliverd UPS to my door. Really great guy to deal with.

Every time I see and read about the Edgun I am tempted to swop my Airwolf for one. *sigh*

Are you folks ordering from russia? I thought I read something about a US distributor working out of Florida but I can’t find that reference again.

I think I might need one of these.

Welcome to the Edgun world. I got mine out today and was shooting apples off of fence posts at 40,50,60 and 70 yards. Another fine PCP rifle.
