Q:

New guy checking in.

What’s up fellas. My name is Eric and I’ve been enjoying searching around on this site before picking up an AirForce gun. I run a machine shop in Jacksonville, FL for a valve automation company and already have ideas for putting those machines to work on gun parts lol. I’ll keep you posted when I finally pick up my rifle and on any parts I make.

Take care,

Thanks.

Nice avatar, McCoy sure was fun to watch.

Welcome M.H. I think you live near “THE MAN” hit up Tony and I’m sure he’ll fix you up.

Believe it or not $600 is in the low end when it comes to PCP Air guns. 😀

Thanks two dogs, I haven’t seen that but will read up when I have a little more time.

Slayer, don’t say anything about it or you may be out a job! 😆

Dam I could use a few of those valves in 6 inch! LOL
I operate a tank farm for an oil company with many 6 inch in line valves.
I open and close them all day to keep product flowing. Those are cool shit but I do not think the company would spend 10 or 20 grand so I can sit on my butt and radio control open valves

Go to this link if you haven’t read it yet, it may answer some of your questions.

Also, being in Florida, CO2 should work for you year round.

I know what you mean about the $600 thing, I still think it’s crazy people spend that much money on a pellet gun. Much less 1500 on that edgun. But I’m guilty too, and I love my condor.

I wish that I could spend $1500.00 on an Edgun! The next shipment isn’t expected in till the 25th of July. 😥

What you could do, if you don’t mind the length, is get 2 bottles. A bottle with a condor valve and a bottle with a talon valve. The talon one won’t get the power, but shot count will be much better, and plug the condor one in for power. You can tune them so the gun shoots to both’s best potential. That would be the easiest thing to do.

And if you want very little power with a bunch of shots, instead of the talon tank get a micrometer tank, you can get tons of shots with those. 🙂

At 20 yards you can shave a nat’s ball sack and not draw blood….

That’s it?? I’d expect that kind of accuracy at 100 yards for a $600 gun. 😆

If I go to my grandparents before you get one I’d be glad to let you try mine out, but it may be a few months before I get to go.

Thanks man, I couldn’t ask that though. Ft. White is a ways a way. I’m on the NE corner at the FL/GA. border. I’ve got the money ready just haven’t made the final decision yet.

I’ll be using it for casual target shooting but enjoy modding as much as shooting. I’d like to be able to tame the power down to get a good shot count when punching paper, but then crank it up to have some fun plinking random targets. Right now 90% of the time my range is limited to around 40 yards but hopefully soon I’ll have a bigger yard. What gun would you guys get?

I’m thinking shrouded 18″ Condor.

Welcome Eric…If you’re gonna shroud, may as well shroud a 24″
and get all the benefit of accuracy and power..A shroud for a 24″
will work with an 18″ but not visa versa….It doesn’t end
though so anywhere you start is a good place…

Thanks.

I wish I could see/feel/shoot the difference in length between the guns with the 18″ & 24″ barrels with shrouds installed. Any you guys around Jacksonville, FL?

You do get used to the length, it’s not bad. And like you said, if you don’t like it at all you can have it cut down to your liking.

I guess I could order the 24″ and sell or cut the barrel down if I don’t like it.

Off of a bench my 24″ can shoot 3/8″ groups at 65+yds…At 20 yards
you can shave a nat’s ball sack and not draw blood….You get use to
the length…

I’ll bet that little 2″ plug valve with the auto controls is pretty pricey.

The one pictured is just an on/off valve and is around $1300. The modulating ones are where the real money is at.
