Im working on getting some carbon Fiber tanks, The manufacture will be sending me some for testing. i will send them to get tested and if all goes well i will get more.
Im just looking to see if there is any interest? These are aluminum core carbon fiber wrapped.

Answer, No, you are not Right.

This thread is about 4500 psi tanks.

None of them have a small enough OD.

You’re right. You do need an adapter…

So I will amend my statements.

In order to use a 4500psi paintball tank, you will need to buy an Airforce CO2 adapter. You will then need to buy a 4500psi regulator from jdsairman. This combination will allow you to put ANY paintball tank of ANY size on. You will not longer be able to use the TalonP or Escape valve assembly since you’re using the CO2 adapter instead. Did that make sense Dyotat?

quote tcmalker:

That’s not exactly true. I know for sure (since I’m using one) that you can use a 22ci paintball tank. Not sure about other sizes.

You’re probably right, but the stock TalonP valve is hotter than the stock Condor valve. Am I not right? Also the new Escape valve is even supposed to be hotter…

TC i bet you still ride the short bus. Your in your own little world

Lets be real here wtf is a 22ci 3000 psi tank gonna do for someone running a high powered .257/308 setup? explain that to me? how many shots u gonna get with that?

Please refrain from posting until you do some more reading. Doug has a very extensive knowledge of these guns and how they work and your gonna tell him how it is

You can’t run a paint ball tank without using a adapter. The are to fat for the back of the frame.

Also you can only make so much power with a talonp valve because the hole is smaller feeding the seal.

The reasons to run a 4500 psi tank are to make power by running higher fill pressure. Then you have to be able to open the valve also.

Then there would be to run a reg setup with a higher set pressure to make consistent power.

Or just to save some weight.

Also you can only make so much power with a talonp valve because the hole is smaller feeding the seal.

So I guess you don’t like my comment about the paintball tank? Why is that? Are you trying to make money off this deal? Well, I don’t give a rat shit. I’m looking out for ALL members of this great forum who took me in with open arms. I’m giving them options and a good deal.

Listen everybody! I don’t know if this is common knowledge, but IT SHOULD BE!

When Airforce introduced the TalonP, they introduced a “TalonP tank”. It’s actually a small paintball tank! That’s right, a standard paintball tank with standard 5/8 – 18 UNF. That means that you don’t have to buy the expensive Airforce Condor or Talon tank anymore….You can simply buy any paintball tank of any size you want!!! The only catch is you have to use the TalonP valve assembly. That can be purchase directly from Airforce for $100 (quick) or $120 (spin-loc) versions.

And now that Airforce is coming out with the Escape line, with an even hotter valve, you can buy that too! The power of the tank go up from Talon, Condor, TalonP to Escape. But only the TalonP and Escape valve assembly can be used with any standard paintball tank.

Airforce made a big mistake I believe. Any reasonable and smart persons would just buy the frame separate and purchase the valve assembly of their choice (TalonP or Escape). Then they buy a paintball tank of any size they choose.

The lighter bottle definately the way to go . Lots of variables in adapting to the needs of the individual shooter , Reg , Prechamber , ect . I’m thinking for slug shooters a condor might be tuned to shoot in the 3500 psi range .

Plus it will fit FX royales, Daystates, and rapids. giving you the 500cc tank and lighter than 400 cc tank. kinda a win win. Im putting one on my HM1000x

Just a question.

Why not just get the carbon fiber paintball tank? They are rated at 4500psi, are they not?

You’re not going to be able to use the standard condor or talon valve assembly, but you can purchase the TalonP valve assembly directly from airforce. And pretty soon you’ll be able to buy the HOT, HOT, HOT Escape valve assembly.

You shave off close to a pound of weight. If you have just a wee bit of common sense then u won’t fill the bottle more than your gun can handle. I suspect that if you pressurized a stock condor to 4500 u might lock up your valve.

If your running a regulated setup and the regulator can handle it then your gonna get a lot more shots a fill.

I’m just looking out for my new family. I see potential in this…

Obviously it will give you more shots, while shaving one pound. But if you’re going to fill higher than 3000psi (tcmalker’s ideal psi), I recommend you get a heavy, heavy hammer. 100g seems like a nice number to throw around. Not sure exactly how high psi you can go so you will have to experiment.

For those wanting to go the regulator route, jds airman sells the 4500psi regulators. You’re going to need to buy the CO2 adapter though.

I’m no airforce expert or anything (but claim to be one), but couldn’t there be a problem with the valve assembly? Sure the tank can be rated to 4500psi, but what about the airforce valve assembly??? What are they rated to?

Or are these strictly for people with regulators so it doesn’t matter what the pressure is?

I would want the light one and even at $175.00 I’d give it a try.
