Q:

new sideplate

just another idea

wondering if anyone has made a modified side plate, on the cocking lever side, opposite to letters VULCAN.

I think it would be better if the cocking lever had thinner stem and the upside down U had shorter arms so to say.

I just feel like too much work to cock and cycle the action as it is.

In my experience when I’ve shot with the bolt forward and not locked downward, I will experience blowback and feel a puff of air when firing. Was alarming when it happened, not sure if it affects the fps or poi, but I’ve decided to just lock in forward down position before I shoot. :4:

yes I know the backwards down move is only when you want to make space for the magazine to come out.

I never tried the forward move only, thanks for the tip!

Kris, when you cock the gun do you pull the cocking lever back -> down – > up -> forward – > down again? I didn’t know until Ernest told me that once you pull back, you don’t have to pull it down, you can pull back -> forward -> down. If you want to do rapid shots you don’t even have to pull it down in the front position. But you do need to keep your hand there to prevent the cocking lever from blowing back.
