New Slugs – 52 gr – whatever happened

I have some new (different vendor) 52 grain solid slugs coming to try that are supposed to be extremely accurate out past 100 yards from a choked LW barrel. They are regular pistol slugs sized down to .2495 diameter from a cast of .2535 and are only 12 bhn. The do about 97 fpe but have a higher velocity. I will be testing them shortly.
Whatever happend wiht that ?

Those slugs weren’t designed around the Condor, they were designed around the rifles that the guy makes. 😉

The Condor is a cheapo mass produced not very accurate noodle, comparatively speaking.. 😆

I really wish Jerry or someone had made 5 rings. With a stock .25 caliber Condor and Tony’s hammer, I have the potential to shoot those 50+ gr pellets right around 850, with no other changes. I have a nice min max of 26 to 50+ gr. PERFECT.
Why oh why didn’t someone figure out that there is a huge market of the common Joe that would buy 50+ gr. The potential is probably as great as all 6-7-8-9 rings sold combined.

For real power, I use the Tagdagger Airarcher valve and fire control parts. This consists of a ferrel that replaces your power wheel assembly, a very heavy spring, and a 110 gram hammer.
Midway has RCBS bullet molds in stock, they normally are out of stock, in 25 caliber 50 grain, these are normally used for the 25 ACP.
Buy a lead pot and cast them yourself, a few here are doing that, I have a mold coming myself. If they do not cast to the diameter I need and I can’t get them to by using different alloys, I will need to have Lee Prescision make me a custom sizer.
You will need to break 960 FPS in order to obtain 100 FPE.

Got the 35.8 and 43.2 Eunjuns. Started pumping up the tank tonight, after I figured I’d leave the valve as is. Might shoot it with the stock hammer, but waiting on the gun case to measure the insides to make the shroud as long as possible, which is when I need to pull the hammer and breech to drill for the bolt handle.
