nice slayer!!! you guys got some beauties!!!

quote Nebraska:

I haven’t downloaded the pics yet, but I took a 42 yard coon last night. Long way for a coon but the tree was in the backyard and I was sitting at my bench. Made a hell of a thud when it fell out of the cottonwood. Going to look for some more groundhogs later on this evening. Hopping to set one up for a 80 to 100 yard kill, I am sure the Ranger is up to it if I do my part.

that’s my problem- both my Daystates shoot better than i am capable of!! but i’m working on it.

Death to all groundhogs. What purpose do they serve other than to reek havoc in some manner.

That was a big one you bagged.

not many groundhogs around here but would love to catch one off guard!
Now that is nice shooting taking a groundhog!

Looks like a case of suicide by Ranger. Nice shooting 😀 Pop this fellow at 35 yards and the Kodiak went clean through. got to love these guns.

50 yards he was dumb enough to check out my spinning target! (while I was shooting it!)
Quartering away in ribs out far shoulder (the view you have is exit)
DEAD

I see you did not suffer too long missing out on the gun I bought! lmao
Congardulations on your purchase they are awesome guns, tuning is fill it shoot it and adjust scope! shot count is great and accuracy wonderful.
I had a squirrel at 50 yards , he came down next to the spinner target like a fool! I have been trying to post photo but no luck. He was quartering away and I put it in the ribs with hopes of a far shoulder exit. Slammed him and exited perfect on other side. Could not have hit him harder from 10 feet! lol

I sighted in at 50 yards saturday to make sure I was in the bullseye at 50. Took only a few minutes I was only an inch off from sighting in at a shorter distance before. I had a plastic patio table and rolled up coveralls. I was hammering the bullseye inno time. I set up the homemade spinners I made for myself and my dad at 50 yards. My mom who loves guns (a mom from NJ that loves guns!) says that is not even a challenge shooting the 1 inch plates at 50 yards. This thing hit them and hit them hard! My dad was shooting the talon ss truned way up and charged with 3100 psi, you could hear the difference when the daystate hit that spinner hard! I got a stomach virus and started trhrowing up so range session cut short. lol week end cut hort too! love this gun!

Jerry got to love the stock. If you are liking it at 50 I belive you are going to find that she realy shines at 100 yards + 😎 Good shooting and keep us posted.

PM sent and many thanks. drew first blood today. went out on my front porch this afternoon for a smoke and 1 cigarette later had killed a ground squirrel and 2 sparrows at ranges from 25 40 yards, without moving from chair- life is good!! as an aside, i am getting 55-60 full power shots before any significant ballistic change. the trigger on this gun is somewhat heavier than my Air Wolf( it is about 8-10 ounces) and feels different due to a pull weight of maybe 1 1/2 pounds or less with basically no first stage( although the AW doesn’t have a first stage either). i think as i get more used to the pull, my groups will improve, although 3/4 inch at 50 yards isn’t too bad. and the noise level is low enough that after i shot the first sparrow, the flock didn’t fly and i dropped another one- amazing for a gun with this power level. after i get some heavy pellets( thanks again Roach) it will be time to get out the predator call and hammer some of the pesky coyotes around here.

Jerry,

I don’t have a 22 anymore, but I have about 50 32 grain EJ’s, if you have none and want to try them I will send to you if you PMG your address.

Regards,

Roachcreek

gun arrived Thurs and i got a scope mounted. went out for 2 hours yesterday to sight it in. first shot at 25 yards was only 1/2 inch low and 1/2 inch right. 3 shots later, everything was dialed in. heaviest pellet i had was 21 Barracudas and it was turning about 52 ftlbs with about 3/4 inch group at 50 yards. owner had warned me that it gets the best combo of accuracy/power with Eun Jins or other heavy pellets so i ordered some 25 gr JSB monsters last night. with 18 gr JSB and 21 grain H&N Barracudas the accuracy and POI was almost the same but 18 gr went supersonic and were noticeably louder. one thing for sure, compared to my Airwolf, this thing is a hammer.

This is what was done to mine. http://airgunadvice.net/viewtopic.php?t=14772

bear in mind, mine is the .22 Air Ranger 80, so according to the previous owner , it shoots at 58.5 lbs( factory website claims 60 lbs). you have to go to the .25 cal to get 80 lbs and i wanted to stay with .22. Regardless, it will certainly be pretty hard hitting and if the original owner is not flat out lying, very accurate and quiet. took me a while to decide if i liked the custom green Gary Cane thumbhole laminate stock but finally decided I did- especially the integrated wooden trigger guard and grooved pistol grip. UPS has moved the delivery date up to Thurs. instead of Friday- feel like a kid awaiting Santa. as far as the means to make it work- the original owner has supposedly done all that, which is a big part of why i bought it. modified trigger, valve, hammer plus the stock and custom moderator. more to come after Thursday!
