New (to me) barrel finishes.
Here’s a couple 24″ .25 barrels I’ve been working on with some different finishes than usual. These would be a good alternative for those not covering them up with a shroud, or who just want them for the heck of it! Blued, blasted & cleared, polished, and trying out a matte bluing on a drop piece.

Thanks Lama, I don’t know if you’ve seen this pic of my gun but the picture was taken with a polished 24″ .25 barrel & aluminum breech installed. Pretty close to what you were thinking. The valve would be easy to get a matching finish on.

Some fancy barrel finishes would definitely look nice on those (not a lot of people, but some) that don’t use a shroud. Some more bling. 😀
I think a chrome barrel with a chrome-plated breech and polished valve would look amazing!
Might want to be careful with the “Cold” stuff I tried the birchwood casey stuff a few times and regardless of how careful I was with sealing it, it still manages to affect other metal objets around it.
It’s just a hand applied cold blue over a polished barrel. I’ve got several coats on there and with the product I’m using that’s about as dark as it gets. It’s probably not the most durable bluing job in the world, but I’d think a person that would want that finish on a Talon/Condor is probably going to be pretty gentle with it. As far as the other finishes maybe someday, don’t have the equipment now but I’m slowly working in that direction. This is just a side job/hobby for me at the moment.
