New Vulcan

May not matter to anyone except for myself , went and ordered a new .25 cal. Vulcan from Tony at Talon Tunes . After much thought I decided that this would
be the the best selection of PCP AIR GUN for what I really need for the type of shooting and the types of pests that I will be eradicating . It is the right caliber
for the max knock down and killing power that I want , it has the ability to reach out and as far as I wish to shoot and take out what I want , It has a repeatable
nine shot mag and comes with two mags which even though not a semi-auto , but as a repeater it will do the job just as nicely . It is short , it is lightweight and
I’ll be able to shoot all of the wild turkeys from my truck that are always running around our streets . Hopefully , donnfl , Tony , or someone will be able to
make a really quiet LDC for it so I can be sure not to brother anyone when shooting and be able to shoot as quietly as possible . Well , that’s all I can say about
it for now until It comes and then I’ll be able to post the elation of shooting it .

You poor sap. .. When you hear those Banjos playing it’s too late already …

well, I havent heard any banjo music yet so I think Im going to be OK.

Loose as a goose……as they say in the pen….

quote Zonk:

Zonk actually speaks from his time spent in the state penitentiary at Joliet, Illinois!

He once told me, “…after five years in that place…constipation is physically impossible!!!”

I bought a new Vulcan and received it three days ago. I was impressed with the fit and finish. I am a function over form shooter, in that if its balls on accurate I can live with a pretty homely rifle. This ones the whole package, shoots great and looks great. I put a burris timberline 4.5-14 on it and have made some shots you just cant make with luck only. IT came shooting 18.1s at 880-890 , but had a few flyers so I tried 15.9s and turned it down to 890-895 and got better groups. Very happy with this gun. A little harder to shoot well than my RAW HM 1000 , but the RAW weighs 10 pounds scoped. Im getting better every day with it ,you have to be really careful with trigger control because its short and light and when the trigger releases the torque better be straight rearward. Loving this gun and would recommend it to anyone. FYI – both my guns are in .22 caliber. By the way I live in the land of :hoot:

Those readings are pretty much a carbon copy of mine from Tony. I averaged around 915 fps………I’ve heard best velocity should be from 920-940 fps with our .25 Vulcans.
I’ve got a new crony coming my way next week. I’ll re-confirm.

Last time I checked mine was at 925. But I think I should check it again. It think it’s going faster than that. Seems like my 100 yard holdover is a bit high
