Q:

No love for Condor

My .25 Condor shoots 4 to 5 inch groups at 50 yards when it’s filled to 3000. By the time it gets to 2000 psi the groups are about 1 -2 inches. I’m getting the best groups with crow mags.

I’ve never had a more inaccurate gun. Maybe I got a dud?

I’m tempted to send it in to Tony for a workover, but I hate the idea of spending any more money on this gun.

Has anyone else had problems with inaccuracy and fixed it?

What grain pellets are you using? Lite pellets with the P/W up high will give you crappy groups. The pellets will be going too fast.

Very odd ?

All my Condors are very accurate, 5 shots covered by a nickel at 60 yds most of the time … for me, I’m happy with that !

Is your barrel loose in the barrel bushing, are the screws snug in the bushing housing assembly ?

Do you have an aftermarket shroud on it and is the pellet clipping the shroud ?

Another thing that can mess up accuracy – is the tank on screwed on tight or does it wobble a bit on the Condor frame ? That can have an big effect as the second you shoot the barrel axes can pivot slightly as the tank/rifle connection is loose.

The lightest pellet I shoot is a JSB KH at 34gr’s. I shoot EJH’s 43 gr and Neil’s 39gr slugs. The JSB’s are the fastest at about 975fps as I remember, the other two are in the 945fps area.

Just some thoughts !
