Man why airgun sites are so fricking addictive! I’m in a wedding right now but I couldn’t resist not to grab my phone and check TAG and the yellow! 🙂 not like the wedding is boring but is the part when everybody is talking about the groom and the bride blah blah blah,! Anyways i checked the yellow and someone posted…what gun is on your wish list, nobody mentioned Edguns, so I had to say something! The Adm. did a good job brain washing ppl against Ed’s guns, ok back to the wedding!

JSB 25s at 940 fps. The groups out to 200 are just as tight as at 885fps in my long. So I settled there with appx 72 regulated shots from 210 fill w/2.3 SD and 9fps max. I did try 1000fps and groups at 100 were still solid at around 1.5″ but at 200 were opening up a bit more than I wanted. Plus I figure at 1000 the air rod is probably going to get its life shortened. So far around 17k pellets total and appx 13k at 940 fps on that rod.
The Predator 25s get a bit funky at 100yds and beyond at that speed but I usually don’t shoot them much past 70 tops with majority under 50 for the pink most effect and poi is same as JSBs in that distance.
I think my next pension check I’ll order 50 tins of JSB 18.1 gr to hold me over this summer. 🙂

What speed and which pellet ( i quess JSB King´s judging by the amount you Hamster them) do you use in your .25 ?? I´ve just started to test different pellets in my .25 WST and will do some JSB´s tomorrow at varying speed and i´m curious to know what you have to say about the velocity.
Hemm. 965fps is definitly to fast. Turn your reg down 1/2 turn then adjust your HST for flattest string. You should be close to if not just below 900fps. As far as pellets go the regular JSB 18s are perfectly capable of 1″ at 100yds if speed is in correct range.
I’ve shot close to 60k of them and maybe a few hundred were damaged enough(damaged head such as dent or cut) to create a noticeable flyer. A quick fix to badly bent skirts still resulted in acceptable accuracy for hunting/plinking.
Don’t worry so much about the pellet. It’s your speed that is issue.
Hemn, I can’t imagine not being able to get pellets of any kind no matter where you live. What I worry about is our mighty president and his EPA will ban anything with lead in it, import pellets and all. Or tax it so high that no one can afford it.
I think my next pension check I’ll order 50 tins of JSB 18.1 gr to hold me over this summer. 🙂

We just got another snow storm last night, 6″ and heavy drifting, don’t know when I can get out to 75 and 100 yards. I wasn’t aware you could get different head sizes of JSB 18.1 gr…. 😐
PA as far as I know only has one size, maybe I’m wrong….

i am really really really and seriously seriously suffering (after trying to get my Edgun for almost 2 years) with been out of the pellets, so , i decided to take a big risk and get a bunch of the JSB pellets, actually i asked for Edgun pellets, (high quality controlled pellets), i am ready to pay more and get the better pellets (uniform head sizes & weights, undamaged skirts) ,,,
actually i will help some people here beside my demand,,, no one here knows about the quality of JSBs,,, they don’t even know what is JSB pellets,,,???? they know only Gamo pellets ,,,
i will re-sell some of them and keep almost 90 tins for myself ,,,

Yes the BC is heavy compared to the Cricket and yes it may be Fuguly but all I see when shooting is the cross hairs. 😀

Why not or why cannot? i know both BC and Cricket are accurate as well ….. i will try to do it at 100 mtr (109 yards…) but when i get the right head size pellets for my gun ,,,, i am working on ordering 150 tins of JSB 18.13gr directly from JSB company (in cooperation with Eduard ,,he is arranging this for me),,,,, with different sizes from 5.48mm to 5.52mm (i am rather hesitate for 5.47mm) …..
i believe i can do more challenges if i get the correct size for my gun …
Hemm, I suggest you lower the speed down if you want best long range accuracy. Head size isn’t your issue,to much speed is.

Hemn, I’m doing the same thing with my, “I hate to use this word on here” .22 Bobcat and I can use this word .22 Cricket. But I’m only shooting at 50 yards because the snow here in Northern Ohio is ass deep. I have shot both side by side for comparison at 50 yards and BOTH shoot equally the same.
