Q:

No more Lelya’s???

I was told Ed was holding production indefinitely on the Lelya because of the high demand for the Matador R3.

Has anyone else heard of this?

I’m on the Lelya list ,but if Ed isn’t making them at all, why bother staying on a list thinking you’ll get your gun any day now, when it may be a year or more?

Was my European source wrong??? This is something a customer has a right to know, so we can change our plans, or models, instead of just waiting and getting frustrated.

Yeah, I sent Tony an Email, but he is busy, so no immediate answer, meanwhile I thought I’d ask if any of you have heard anything.

Hell….I’d settle for a double barrel…

A multi-shot would be Less complicated. The more complex the arrangement the higher the breech has to be to house the mechanicals. Just look at the Evanix MAX, the breech is so tall that you have mount the scope three to four inches above the barrel just so you can comfortable see through he scope because your cheek weld is higher.

Every version Ed releases is better in some way better than the prior model.

However, he just can’t seem to bring himself to release the semi-auto version.

Actually, why should he? He can’t make enough single shot versions to satisfy the market, even if he stops making other models (my dear departed Lelay) to try to keep up.

He raised the price, and the waiting list got longer!

Ed…this is NOT a problem, it is a business opportunity!

You need to expand. We have high unemployment in the U.S. We have walnut trees begging to be cut. Empty factories. CNC machines sitting idle. Qualified machinists walking down the road, kicking acorns and stomping toads, just to have something to do. Take a hint!

Kindest regards,

How about $2750… 😕

So when you sell it for way over list it’s your business but then you’ll only buy at cost…?

Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense really, you telling people what you would pay being so low after you sold one for so much.

Gloating will get you no where, really, except possibly a few names.

No name calling from me, just some friendly advice. 😉

I’m fine with supply and demand pricing, although i’m not one to get caught up in it seeing as I can wait if it means saving that much cash. 😀

alrighty then,

so what do you think about the r3 compared to the first one

What’s up guys! Sorry to crash the party so late but I usually sleep in the hunting section. So did I sell my gun for $2750 + shipping? You bet your ass I did. I probably could of got more but I decided not to get greedy 😈

You can all get pissed at me call me names or what you like but at the end of the day it’s all about supply and demand. If you have a Edgun and could make a profit and don’t well that’s your problem not mine. I know if I want something and it’s rare, I’ll pay the price just like I did for the Edgun I sold. You would have to pry this R3 from my hands since I’m down to one Edgun. I have a lot of respect for you guys on this forum because you all know your shit and I learned a lot from here. But please don’t tell me what I can or cannot sell my guns for. If you have a R3 .25 you want to sell me at your cost then I promise you I will sell it for the exact same price when it comes to let go, deal?

That’s what I thought.

isold mine for 2300u$s, but, tax here is 50% of Purchase price PLUS 50% s&h… mu new Matador long arrives here at 3050u$s… no profir at all IF i decided sell it here. Just make some numbers and is rally hard to sell in a gunshop… 😥

It is all about discipline, I have carried M1A’s, ar 15’s, car 15’s and m4’s. I fired one shot at at time, but samll bore 22 machineguns are plain fun, I have no intention of using that mode for hunting.

Edguns are selling for double of what they are worth, plain and simple.

I have owned many single shots, Ruger #1’s and #’3’s several 74 sharps and a 78 sharps, they have their place, but when it comes to the choice between the edgun and a Max, a Max that worked, the descisiion would be simple for me.

And yeah those Rnistorms break right at the wrist, but Edguns seem to break also, and the manufacturer leaves you out in the cold on that one.

RC

I had my hand on the Paypal trigger today when I saw that I could save 10% on a HW50S with PA new coupon. It would be my first springer.

As for your FX500. it’s nice since it’s been cut down but I’m not going to do that. At factory length, it’s too damn long. I sold my tack driver FX400 last month and already starting to regret it…OH well.

I agree with the need for a multi-shot and keeping your cheek on the gun. I was shooting at some eggs that I’d set out at 70 yards last weekend and there was a high right to left variable wind, would have been nice to have had a multi-shot so I could have adjusted my aim and got off a quick second shot before the wind changed.

I think if I’d had a MAX I would have laid down the hammer down and went full auto a few times after some concurrent misses.

Roach,If any gun is famous for broken stocks its Evanix.Max hard to
shoot from a repair bench.Try and find a Edgun w/mech. prob. you
won`t.The Max is the ugliest AG I`ve seen and weighs 9lbs unscoped!
I paid $1650 shipped where do you get $2500.(yeah I know price went
up)Rat tat tat oh boy!Be tired of that after a couple of jams or after
loading a couple double clips after a 2sec. cheap thrill. There have been
only 2 stocks w/dam. ever that I know of.Build quality,re-sale value I
think you know who wins there.I think automatic pellet guns will always
have problems especially shooting lead pellets and I`m guessing you
probably do too or PA would have your order.Thats my counterpoint and
I`m sticking to it :twak: Hoot did you see my post about the AA200
bullpup yesterday?

Hoot is absolutely correct.

Apples to oranges, the FX 500 Royales are 11 times better, because they have a 11 shot magazine.

As far as bullpups go, I’m still waiting for the first generation Max’s to get their bugs worked out and to prove to me it is not a Korean Rogue.

Once that is done I will buy one and never look sideways at a Edgun.

Lets face it:

Its a gun you can actually get your mits on.

Shoots just as well for practical purposes if not side to side comparison, they have shot full auto 10 shot groups at 50 yards into 1/2 inch.

It has a magazine, and I don’t mean a Russian copy of Ladies Home Journal. That means you can shoot more than one shot without removing it from your shoulder, unless your adept at shooting and then placing a pellet in your ear.

And it goes rat a tat tat when your bored.

I have to say tho I am not great at waiting, I saw them available on the PA website this morning in 25 caliber and I came so damn close to signing into paypal.

If you could order Edguns from PA and they never run out of them, how much would that single shot with a sometimes broken stock, that everyone who handled it says not me when confronted with the responsibility, actually cost?

Sure as hell not $2500.00, unless you were ordering one in each caliber in the order.

Regards,

Roachcreek

I will try to answer your question Hoot.

Ed indicated that he is Temporally (for at least 6 months) stopping production of Lelya and Veles due to very heavy load and high demand of Madador R3.

I think at this point it would be the best idea to confirm with Tony if Ed re-started production of Lelyas/Veleses or they are still on hold.

A lot of these buyers are under the delusion that owning a hand crafted bullpup will allow them to achieve “Excellent” marksmanship status.

I did for me 😆

But who in their right mind would buy an expensive hand crafted gun that would allow them to achieve “Sub-Par” markmanship status.

Kinda like when my cycling buddies ask me about my Zipp Carbon Wheels and want to know if they’re faster, my stock answer is that they make me feel faster and they look faster…good enough for me 😀

Lol Ted said he was offered waay over normal price for his because its famous (because of TEDS shooting skills not the guns) and Ivan G on the yellow is trying to sell a 2.5 for 2.75 grand.

Wtf? 😯

Just trying to make a profit?

Didn’t Ivan have two buyers back out already? He’s posted it more than once.

Note to Ivan: Give it up Ivan! The gun’s not worth $2000, much less $2700. In fact paying $1650 is really pushing the limits for a single shot, bolt action air gun.
