On the Yellow, Condor safety disc burst!
kinda sketchy exactly what happened? Safety disc bust, splinter to the eye lid, seems no permanent injury to eye?

you must have missed where the vaunted LD basically called WOK a retard for suggesting that someone might use a set screw in place of the burst discs…
WOK to his credit must have still been crashed with is boyfriends dick in his mouth as LDs flame was indeed nuked by the heavy hand of the Yellow early in the morning with zero reply from our light skinned brotha!… 😉
Not sure about the AF tanks, but other tanks have a burst disk that corresponds with the proof pressure of the vessel.

5K on the Ninja hpa bottle I’ve in front of me..rated for 3000psi fill.

Personally I think if a burst disc is rated to blow at 3000, then anytime past that point it could blow , but I would think most are rated at least 200 # higher due to your hot gas and the cool down, theory.
Something just does not seem right here……
My dive shop filled my AF tank to ~3500psi to prove they filled my SCUBA full…. dicks. It was at that pressure for 3-4 hours before I got it in check. No disc rupture.
So 3500psi burst seems reasonable.
Yeah, seems like someone said they are around 3400 or something. Can’t remember for sure though. Definitely more than 3000, I filled mine up to there plenty of times with no problems
I know they’re more than 3200. With a bad gauge and scuba tanks at the dive shop filled to 3200psi, filled to same psi as scuba tanks. We tried 3 or four different scuba tanks and my gauge wouldn’t go past 2800 and the dive instructor said he knew the scuba tanks were 3200 psi
Found out later I had a bad fill gauge.

Unlikely….It would seem to be common sense to have a margin between the recommended fill and the burst disk rating.
I dont have burst disks, replaced them with set screw’s but thats only because they wouldnt seal back up after using that hole to “assist” in removing my valve’s from the bottle, not because I think them unsafe.

His first response he said everything about it, and didn’t mention what pressure he filled to.
I would think if it happened to me, one of the first things I would mention is what pressure it happened at, because that is a big part of it. If it happened under 3000 I would be screaming that my burst disk blew at under 3000, not saying, “hey, it popped.” Just a big detail to leave out.
My money is on overfill, and he doesn’t want the shame of everyone saying “duh” so he says it was under 3000.
If it was a normal problem, I would give him the benefit of the doubt, but I have never heard of that happening to someone, so I’m skeptical.
Seems very sketchy with no pics and right after Adams post, we need to see more.

The Burst Disks on the AF valves are rated for 4500psi, no evidence yet but I KNOW I have read it before and will report back with proof
