Q:

Ordering R3M parts

I tried to send an email to Ed through here, but the msg has stayed in my outbox for days. Sorry I post it here.
I really like my new R3M .22. I’m afraid to wait too long just in case of any parts wear out.

I’d like to order the following parts for R3M .22

1 regulator
2 valve stems
2 sets o-rings,
4 alum or plastic megs.

Let me know how to do it.

Thanks

Charlie

If anyone wants in on a valve stem purchase, post your desire, and I’ll contact Tony and make a request. Cost is about $30-$35 each. Specify caliber you want, as I don’t know if one size fits all.

Further, I’m wondering if the valve stem could be made all metal and get rid of that plastic rod? Then you could kiss valve stem breakage goodbye, especially at high FPS with heavy pellets!

Has anyone tried to enlarge the transfer port on their .25 valve and breech? I’m wondering if you could push that valve a bit further for power and use some heavier cast pellets, but still stay in the FPS range of 880/900?

Personally, I don’t believe the Edgun .25 is anywhere near it’s maximum potential. With just a few minor changes…marvelous things might take place.

Didn’t OG say the valves are all the same in the different calibers of R3 R3Ms? I’d get a couple then as well.

Tony told me the valve stems cost about $30 each, last time I asked. Has anyone bought any?

That is the one part that seems the most vulnerable to failure since part if it is plastic.

I would also like to get

1 Valve Stem/Rod for R3 .22
1 Valve Stem/Rod for R3 .30
1 Valve Stem/Rod for R3M .25 and also 3 extra Mags for .25

That’s what I was told by him some time ago.

Thru Tony? I’ m located in Europe. For the record i did try To go thru Tony in my frustration but when there’s no parts available, there are no parts available. Neither in Russia, rest of the Europe nor In USA.

Thanks, Hoot. I did send two msgs to Tony regarding ordering parts. But No response yet. I’m not sure if it’s too early to order those parts for new R3M.

I wonder if Ed through Tony would be up for a group part buy that would make it cost effective for him to ramp up a production batch of some of the critical parts?

I’ve not seen so many people are interested in ordering parts for your Matador. Maybe Just need to replace o-rings. 😀

Don’t get me started! My list is long and expensive one.

Stuff breaks on all of these PCPs and the Edgun’s aren’t immune. The high shot count folks would know what tends to break first and most often on the Edgun’s. Maybe they will chime in. Besides orings I would think valves would take a lot of abuse – especially on the .25 and .30 models.

Good thinking! Your .30 isn´t like a measly .177 Benjamin, for sure. Now make the parts line work and i´ll be back in the EdGun wagon in a heartbeat.

I don’t know for sure but I would think my 30 cal would need parts sooner given the additional pressures, etc. I will probably try to order at least some valves, etc. for both of my guns. I think if enough of us order parts it will make sense for Ed to make a batch.

Isn’t Tony the US distributor for guns and parts?

Thanks. I did send him an email, but no response regarding the parts. I guess he doesn’t have parts now.
