Q:

Over 200+ shots from my 1350 psi reg setup

Today I started counting my shots and was surprised at the number.

My 1350 psi regulated tank started at 3000 psi and shot over 200 times til 900 psi remained. This was using my 18 inched .177 barrel shooting 7.9 gr CP pellets.

Not bad for 1 refill 🙂

Joe, what Walter wants to know is how many regulated shots it gets.

Regulated shots are the ones that are all about the same velocity and are acheived while the pressure in the tank is more than the pressure that the regulator operates on.

Once the pressure in the tank drops below the regulator operating pressure then the velocity drops rather sharply. Walter isnt interested in those shots, just the nice consistant (and therefore regulated) ones.

I want to know the number of shots ‘on reg’ not the additional ‘off reg’ shots as that is not the point of the regulator.
Thanks
Walter….

sorry i dont understand

Using this tank is like shooting a new gun. Each shot is consistent enough to shoot cans at 100+ yards over and over. The only thing is adjusting for wind. It’s very consistent and only varies at most 5 to 10 fps.

That is very cool!

Whay kind of shot to shot consistancy are you getting? I’m guessing it is going to be pretty good.

That is a really slick setup you have there.

Thanks for sharing the info anf really good pics, Jim.

I’ll ask my friend if he has any more in stock.

where would i find a reg that goes to 1350, all the ones i have found only go to 1000?

Thanks
Brian

It is a bit tricky looking over the fat tank, but not too bad.

The tank is carbon fiber and the size is 45 CU which can be filled to 4500 psi.

It’s not too heavy either. I bought it used from a paintball shop over the summer. It’s nice because of the built in gauge and refill nipple. The tank fits well with the CO2 adapter from Airforce.

How many shots ‘on the reg’ ? from 3000 to 1350psi?

Walter…

Well… if it doesn`t get quieter, at least it looks very nice!

Hope you don`t mind if I “borrow” (hehe… steal) the idea!

Happy holidays and have fun!

haha the chickens are fine.

I use a RWS muzzle brake that i purchased from MAC1 for $60. It doesnt make it silent but it helps 🙂

Cool!

What’s that on the barrel? A “muzzle brake” silencer?

Next thing you’ll see is a screw in regulator for a std tank.
😉

They use to be made for paintball. One of you genius needs to develop a reg that a screw in model.

One home development was posted recently, fellow in Demark as I recall. Looked like GREAT work! But as we are thinking it is only a mater of time one may find a screw in type,, more or less off the shelf. 😉
Seems no end to good adaptaions ❗ ❗ 😉
