Picked up this FX Royale 400 from the yellow and let me…
…say that this is (thus far) the smoothest, best handling/balanced pcp I have owned thus far. Can’t say most accurate as my Scorpion (BSA) was just as accurate (at least at 25 yards).
Put a Millet 4-16 x50 tactical scope with some nice rings that Charlie (Roachcreek) blessed me with. I like the look of a little silver to break up all that black.
Not sure how fast they were running but Matthew (the guy I got it from) said AOA claimed it was factory set at 850 fps with the 18.1 JSB. I will chrony it next chance I get to see where it’s at and may turn it up a bit. I ran 48 shots from a 200 bar fill and I still have around 160 bar so I am assuming this is a low to medium power setting.
Accuracy was 1/4″ to 3/8″ with two 12 shot groups. One with the 18 grains and the other with the 16 grain JSB’s. Can’t wait to play some more with this one. Plan to put a light bipod on it in the near future. Scratch one off my airgun bucket list. 2,3,4, and 5 are as follows (in no particular order). Shoot and or own a rapid, air ranger, Edgun, and any Barnes I can come within 10 feet of 😛

There are a few medications that make people think crazy shit as well. A friend’s step dad was on some type of steroid and he would think he said something but hadn’t and then get pissed at the people around him for not doing what he thought he said. The doctors even told him he would do it but it didn’t matter, he was on another level and common sense was out the window. He was convinced he was right regardless of the doctor’s warnings.
In Cali the whole crazy person thing is sick. If you’re crazy and commit a violent criminal act in one county the judge from the next county won’t consider it relevant to his case in his county, won’t even look at it, will not let a word be spoken in his court… Now if someone robbed a bank in one county you bet your ass it would be relevant if he was suspected of doing it in another county.
Not sure what is sicker, the people who are nuts or the system that lets them fuck with the sane people (usually their own family) over and over.
Back when my kids were young enough for me to have to hire a “nanny,” I hired one that required meds. I had no idea at the time, it had never occured to me to ask a perfectly normal person (as far as I knew) if they required drugs to not be insane.
One day, I get a call from one of the boys that **** is driving up and done the street but not stopping at the house. I cancel a meeting about a $1.6 billion dollar development project and rush home… She’s left without a trace. Next day, she shows up and tells me about her meds and how she will never, ever, ever skip a day again. I give her a second chance and she blows it two days later… She never got violent or anything like that but I learned my lesson.
It’s hard as Hell to fire someone who really needs a job and is very sweet and dedicated and does a great job when they are on the prescribed pills. I felt awful but it was pity vs. putting my kids at risk and that meant she was gone. Not a fun moment but not really a choice.
When folks that need it don’t take their meds, you can’t communicate with them. You are speaking a common language but they don’t hear what you say, they hear whatever their body chemistry leads them to understand. For your safety, I recommend no communication attempts unless you know she is properly dosed. Even them, I would not trust that anything she says will be followed up on as I’ve just heard too many stories about folks not taking their meds (I got lots of info after my lesson!).
BTW, I don’t think you’re retarded for using a Condor/7 ring to protect your home. You use what you have, not what you want!

I always preferred the black rifles over the wood, but I do appreciate some nice furniture. being synthetic made it more affordable for me as the wood version is nearly 200.00 more…

Dogs to scare off evil spirits?…to protect your kids? This is always a good idea. However, this individual is extremely likely to do something that provokes one, or both of your dogs into chewing on her. The dogs being pit bulls will be demonized in the media, taken and destroyed. Then she will sue you and win more money to support her antics. I vote to protect the dogs and the kids from her. Again, just sayin’.
I understand it’s like standing on a ledge with a bear; there ain’t no ignoring it. You seem like too good a guy who has overcome tremendous odds to create something beautiful…your family. Try to figure outr how to avoid the storm until it passes. She’s nuts and something is going to happen to her. She will be relocated one way or another.
Oh yeah, Point taken. In fact, when she was outside cursing and talking to herself, my kids were forbidden to play in the front as they usually do. If she was crazy enough to enter the yard…two 70 pound red nose pits stay outside with my kids at all times and they don’t take kindly to anyone getting within 10 yards of the privacy fence.
You are not crazy for using a 7 ring for self defense.
Trying to talk sense into a crazy person, well that, to some people is crazy. It is commendable to others…as long as she doesn’t produce a knife or other weapon.
A guy with many kids and a wife might want to just hide away from this individual as much as possible. By the sound of it, she is going to do something that lands her in some kind of institution and will solve your problem for a while. I don’t want to hear how thing went south for you over this. Just sayin’.
Remember, crazy is crazy and at that point, anything and everything should be expected.

She’s traumatized enough already by our nutty next door neighbor. A few weeks ago, my neighbor—a young robust (200 lb) black/seminole Indian woman starts acting strange after two years of no incidents. My wife asked her if she was okay one morning as my neighbor was feeding the cranes with her pants down around her ankles. She yelled at my wife, got in her car, headed to my tattoo shop (I wasn’t there, it was my day off) starts taking her shirt off and rubbing her double D’s on the back of my bosses head saying that “my wife is crazy and tried to accost her”. My Boss told her to put her shirt back on (something he rarely says) as she was making some of the female customers uncomfortable. Her mom calls us and tells us she is off her medication (gee no kidding) and to please let us know when she comes back home as she wants to Baker act her. I told my wife not to get involved and let nature take it’s course.
Later that night at 3:00 in the morning, my wife wakes me up saying someone is trying to break in the front door. I jump up, get my AAA condor (which always has a 7 ring in it and is kept decocked) and my Katana and I sit on the couch around 15′ from the front door. I turn on the laser (set for 10 yards) and point it through the glass at what appears to be a dark mass of people (I was still half asleep). After the laser hit them they ran off. I go up to an adjacent window and see this large woman butt naked running towards the woods next to my house with a bunch of flashlights chasing her. The lights belonged to the cops and she was apparently trying to get away from them by entering my home naked. They baker act her, search her home and find large quantities of pills and mary jane.
A week later she is out and back on her medication. I felt bad for her as she was embarrassed so I broke the Ice and waved to her and she waved back. A few days go by and wouldn’t you know it, she stops taking her meds again. Cursing aloud in the middle of the night, setting the alarms off in her cars, walking around naked. Her mom calls and says that this time she had a judge sign an order to baker act her for much longer…Come to find out she is outside in the back arguing with the neighbor behind me and wouldn’t you know it, I missed the whole thing. I can only imagine the things she called my other neighbor as she is adept at cursing people out.
Her mom claims she has too much money (monthly seminole checks) too many wrong friends who use her…I am trying to help her so I may visit her and share my faith with her…it may be what she needs.

I think one day, perhaps a few years down the road…we should organize a TAG shoot. At least an East Coast shoot for those of us within five or so states of each other… 😎

Well at least my baby looks happy in her new home. Sure do miss that 400.
I really thought about replacing her with a 500 as .25 is what I was looking for and the Royales are such smooth shooters, but the price tag and the 5 foot long gun kept me from pulling the trigger (plus Pyramyd don’t have them).
