Q:

Please take a look at this SS and tell me whats different

The frame is indeed an SS isn’t it? What is sticking out of the front of the frame? This is a picture of a gun that just sold on gunbroker. The title says its an SS and from the look of the frame, it is. The description didn’t say anything special about the gun as far as shrouds or anything like that go. Ideas?

“It could be a Bulls Eye Bill frame extender…My Talon SS looks a lot like your picture and I have the BB frame extender on it.”

Mine too. I have an 18″ barrel in mine. The FE sticks out 2.65″ past the end of the barrel and offers good silencing. Although not as silent as some of the more sophisticated/$$$ models, the sound of the shot leaving the barrel is still a lot less than that of the pellet impact.

Never mind the bollocks… 😉

This here’s a Talon SS with a 24″ barrel on CO2.

…… and you should see it with the GTBJ shroud on it. (that’s a Frame Extender you’re seeing)

…. and the HPA tank for that matter.

… and a WokButt

guess I gotta take more pics. 😆

😉

It’s not mine…..It is nice..All it is missing is a decent grip…..

Holly shit\sweet jesus! That kicks ASS!! I want! I want! 🙂

I mean that it just looks like an SS with a 24″ barrel. Don’t ya think so?

quote Matthius:

At a glance, the 18″ barrel stops at the tip of the frame (and cap), another 6″ gives a 24″ barrel. Simply an SS witha 24″ barrel! That’s a good thing as MS would have said…

Some guys are putting moderators on with the 12″ barrel just for a quieter gun….With an 18″ barrel that little extension wouldn’t be much moderation….Looks like maybe 4″ or so past an 18″.

So, how much did it sell for?

The UK has some mixed up frames to for there Gunpower models.
This from there FAQ :
Q What is the difference between the models?

A The Stealth has a 12inch barrel in a 12 inch frame. The Storm has an 18inch barrel
in a 12 inch frame. The Shadow has a 12 inch barrel in an 18 inch frame. The SSS
has a 24 inch barrel in a 20 inch frame.

Could this translate in :

Stealth / Storm = Talon = frame is 12 inch.
Shadow = Talon SS = frame is 18 Inch.
SSS = Condor = frame is 20 Inch.

Just a guess, dont snap, please.

quote :

But the Talon and the Talon SS are the same gun, just different barrels from the factory.

I dont think this is correct. The 18″ Talon has a shorter frame than the SS.

I think the shortest combo you can put together without chopping anything is a 12″ barrel in the frame from an 18″ Talon.

quote synopsys:

The 18″ b arrel on an SS sticks out 1/8″ past the plastic end cap…

Yup, and the Venom shoroud would add 3 or 4 inches, depending on baffles. Which is what caught my eye.

It could be a Bulls Eye Bill frame extender…My Talon SS looks a lot like your picture and I have the BB frame extender on it.

Another idea comes to mind. Mac1 used to sell AF barrels with Vemon shrouds installed on them. I have such a barrel in 24 inch length. The shroud starts at the forward bushing and extends past he muzzle. When mounted on my SS it looks like that (only the barrel sticks out a bit more).
